Seeking Help For Vault of Night (9/18)

Let me introduce "About The Size Of A Box," a guild that's been active since the beginning of the game. We're a group of six friends who find time to play DDO every Tuesday night at 8:30pm PST; by playing once a week at that time we are now 11th level. Until now, we've been able to complete every quest on our own and have enjoyed experiencing everything for the first time together. Which brings us to our current problem.

We cannot complete the Vault of Night. It became clear that we need at least two people with high wisdom and two with high strength to get by the control room. As we only have one cleric and one fighter, we're stuck.

This is where you come in. We are seeking help for our Vault of Night quest on Tuesday 9/18 at 8:30pm PST. We have a full group of six members ready to accomplish the task, but need more to fill out the raid. Ideally, we'll find a guild that'll come together to help us out.

If we get no replies, we'll simply seek assistance through the normal grouping panel. But, as we've never adventured with other folks in the past, we were hoping to enlist an experienced adventuring company that someday we could help in return.

Not sure if XP is more important or completion, but I think my guild (Lifetakers and Heartbreakers) will be running the dragon this weekend, and you would be welcome if there is room. I can't check the guild site right now, but I'll check back. Usually when we run it is around 10 or so EST. There will be 14s along most likely. Otherwise, I'd love to run it with some people who don't know it like the back of their hands. Unfortunatley, I can't offer the high WIS or STR peeps you need. If you see me, holler.

I can almost definitely bring my cleric along. I'll see what kind of interest I can drum up amongst my guildies to see what else I can get. What's the ideal level range you're looking for?

Probably do but not one of the mains we are running now. Anyway if this is acceptable to you let me know. In game you can find me as Debris or Quintary or Aiforowen. Or just post back here. I will ask the guys tonight.

Well I reread the post and noticed the date you wanted to do your raid, so I suppose my offer of Saturday night doesn't help much :D. If Sat still works it will be forming at 9:30 EST. That can sometimes be a bit early for me, but if I'm able I'll be participating as Marge Inoverra.

Otherwise, I'm game if I can be on at that time. (I play after the wife and baby have gone to bed) 11:30EST is a little late for me, but I can try to be available.

Killbilly: We'd love to have you join us with as much of your guild as possible! We are currently level 11, but frankly we're after completion more than experience -- so if you want to bring in your 14th levels, that would be fine by us.

To the others -- we wouldn't want anyone to lose sleep over this! If it's not convenient for you, then no worries. However, if you're there and want to help out, send a /tell to Wrune and we'll bring you in.

The other guys are fine for this coming tuesday we finished von 1 2 and 3 last night and will knock 4 out tonight. We will meet you around 8 pm on tuesday thats pac time. Let me know if that time frame will work. I am not sure of our time zones.

Though we failed to actually kill the dragon, we at least got to see Velah -- which made the entire night worthwhile. I hope that you all had fun, too...though it seems that VON5 can be frustrating if you've never done it. Thanks for your patience as well as your STR and WIS. :)

Excellent response as a whole from the entire Lazaa- er, Ghallanda server, actually. There's a ton of good players here and we're looking forward to raiding with y'all again soon.

Sorry to hear you were unsuccessful (I was rootin' for 'ya), but don't get disheartened, we failed miserably on our first go too. Actually, I didn't beat her until try #4 :eek: .

But hey, you did get to see the dragon! :D Pretty impressive huh? Except for the voice...lol...I think she smokes too much. Would explain that voice anyway :D .

If you all do it again next Tuesday, and if you need the help, I'm sure I can drag some Team members out of Gianthold long enough to help. We have dragon-ready toons from 9-14 of all classes that can help out if need be.

I just wanted to put it out there my threeman guild ran With "about the size of a box" crew That night and it was great fun, playing like we hadnt done it before and we are set to try it again this Tuesday if you like. We have had many discussions about part 6 of course, since part 5 now that you know how to do it will be a breeze. For those of you that dont know we did try to do the bases differently. We were in effect trying to see if we could do the bases without the ussual joe the fighter must die to bring all the creatures to home plate. We want to be ready for mod 5 when it releases and changes the quest. So we were attempting a bard mez and fighters running behind in sequence. Unfortunatley due to a loose flenser and some confusion about what constituted on the bridge at the same time as someone else. We dropped the ball (basically me and the bard also in my guild) But everyone had fun and I think after that last attempt we have it better prepared in our heads of how we want it to go down. So let us know if we should wait for the AtSoaB this tuesday. I promise to call everyone by their full name. ;)
