Last night, on Ghallanda, a bunch of guildies and I decided to make an all-Cleric raid on Tempest's Spine, just to see if we could and just to say we did. I cannot describe to you how much fun it was. 'cept for the waiting on the Int Rune and the second locked door (first was knocked). It was incredible, once people saw the LFM I'd posted, how many other Clerics wanted to join in the fun.
What was really funny, though, was the /tell I received from one player who thought it not-cool that I'd recruited all of the Clerics away from the other groups. Well, this was one of the few chances Clerics would be able to play the way they wanted, without regard for whether the tanks would die. So, I basically replied "It's a Cleric thing, you wouldn't understand."
And the Storm Giant actually went down pretty quickly.
At any rate, the couple of hitches we had were finding any Clerics with high enough Int for the rune (min 18) and high enough Open Lock (or UMD) for the locked doors. I'm really hoping we can give this another shot sometime soon, just because it's so much fun to see all those summoned monsters and blade barriers. If anyone else is interested, or has a Cleric to help fill the otherwise Wizard/Rogue slots to defeat the few roadblocks, please let me know.
We ran the raid advertised as Levels 11-14 last night, but we had a couple below 11 who just wanted to run it for the fun of it, and didn't care about being power-leveled.
If interested in some Cleric fun, send /tells or in-game mail to my Cleric, Aequinox, on the Ghallanda server! :D

We had one on Khyber, I don't have a cleric but the same person that set up the all cleric run had an all Bard run a few days before that, that I was able to participate in and I can tell you it was a blast, although it was hard to fill out the group we eventually got 12 bards.

Interesting... This was a TS run? If so, I take it the Bards used a lot of Wizard spells to avoid melée? Or, did you actually have some battle-Bards?
Still, it adds a new challenge to the game while we all pine away for Mod. 5 to be released... :)

This is something I would love to see happen on Argo, the most fun I have had on there so far was running with a 3 man all cleric party through the Threnal area, I had more fun in that group than all the others combined, it was so nice to break out all those spells I have been wanting to try out and not having some uber moron who seems to know how to play everyone elses toon better than them b****ing.

Haha, I had a similiar thing happen when I set up an all Cleric run into POP before the server merge. The /tell-er was just kidding however...I think. Regardless, it was a good time and didn't take much longer than a usual run. Well, except for the vamp room. ;)

Congrats on pulling it together. Those type of runs are fun.
My most memorable was an all Ranger run. The mobs never had a chance to close with us. Everyone could heal themselves and buff themselves and the synergy was neat.
I always enjoy mutiple cleric runs. Like last night getting some guild characters ready for a Velah run, had a five man group with two clerics in it. Life was easy.
As for that all bard group, some of those mobs you do not have to kill, just get past. A little music and they will never knnow you were there. I assume that any Paralyzed mobs go down fast. Biggest challenge I would see is taking down Sorjek. Gonna be scroll intensive I suspect.

I've run a few all rogue parties on high level content, including tempest with a group of 9 or so. Rogues are one of those classes that can get really burned on a lot of quests because players will only take one, or none at all in may runs. It was great fun and a "thieves guild" party is very potent.
These nonstandard parties add a great deal of fun to the game, because players are able to fill a different roll in the party for a change, and work together in different ways.

Running with all Clerics is definitely interesting. I'm in a static group that has been going since opening day. We are all non-twinked Clerics of some sort. The rule is at least one half of your levels must be Cleric. We have two pure Clerics, a Rogue/Cleric, Sorc/Cleric, Fighter/Cleric, and a Barbarian/Cleric.
Definitely a bit more challenging. Being non-twinked and no pure melee or caster types we sometimes lack a bit in the DPS & arcane spell department so tactics come into play quite a bit. It's definitely a blast and something totally different than normal groups.

I was in a tempest group and saw the LFM. I almost dropped to join up and check it out. Wish I would have, sounds like you had a much better time than we did.:D

I think I have just what you need, a level 14 Clerangue (Cleric/Ranger/Rogue 10/2/2). Self buffed with tools my open lock / search / disable are 43/50/57. That’s good enough for any lock or trap in the game on elite except the optional in Cabal. My intelligence is 25, good enough for most ruins. I should be able to fill the gap in your groups.
