Why CE?

Why no Improved Critical?

How do you plan on playing this build?

ahh, yes, sorry. this was in response to my failed attempt at a viable sentinel dm build. basically this is a dm build so with the abilities given by elf dm, an intimitank basically.

I suppose that would mean something to me if I had any idea what a

"viable sentinel dm build" was

dm = dragon mark
sentinel = one line of dms for human
viable? cuz its pretty widely held that dms are subpar feat choices and i was attempting a build where they played to that character's advantages.

I'm working on a Lesser Mark of Shadows intimitank myself (13 Fighter/ 1 Bard). Only to level three right now. Look for the "Elven Shadowblade" thread in the fighter forum...

Bard gets me extend, healing wands, and some skills. I was thinking some mix of ranger or rogue might give better, um synergies in the build. Sure, I can go invisible, but with full plate and a tower shield they sure notice me. :)

4 levels of ranger should allow you to take extend, so it wouldnt be all bad.

yes, forgot about that. so moore you could still get that extend with ranger levels instead.

Sure, that's a very viable build. How about: Fighter 8/Ranger 4/Rogue 2 with invis/displace - call it The Shadow. Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of stormreach?

I figured with the displacer tank idea that I wanted a 13 BAB and the fighter feats, so that left with 1 level of wizard (and the free metamagic feat for extend) or one level of bard for extend and wands. And the odd no-save fascinate here and there.

In my soloing I have been switching to leather, taking off my shield and sneaking invis... my move silent isn't high, but with invis it's worked on the newbie content.
