Ok this is an interesting build. I saw someone joking on the forums about build something kinda like this and how much it would probably suck. I thought about it and came up with this. All in all I think it is a fairly decent build. He a has a good attack and can self buff him self. Let me know what you all think of it. Im only posting this in the Barb forums cause well he is a barb. He has no offenseive casting ability its all self buffing.

BAB is a little low, and if you want to self buff you will basicalloy have no ac (need to wear twilight mith light armor or robe).

I don't think this guy will deal enough damage to make up for the lack of ac. However, that said, who knows, it wouldn't be the first time I was proven wrong.

I think a better build for a self buffing BARB would be a bard 8-10/barb 4-6, with about the same starting stats. More hps, higher BAB, and ability to cast in light armor (mith BP or Delvin suit).

or a level 12 barb with 2 levels of rogue (evasion and UMD build)

Just my thoughts.

The biggest problem I see with a build like this is the inability to cast spells while raged. Were it a couple of levels of sorc/wiz, it wouldn't be such a problem... after all, the only buffs you'd worry about would be shield, expeditious retreat, pro evil, and jump, and you could extend them so that they would last the duration of a rage. (Of note, I tried a WF barb12/wiz2 combo, got tired of waiting for rage to wear off so I could whip a wand).

With this build, you're putting a lot of levels into the sorc to (presumably) get haste and displacement. But even with the dismiss rage ability, you'd still find yourself raging when you wanted to buff.

I think this build might be better suited for fighter levels instead of barbarian levels.

I did a little char gen experiment and was looking at wiz5/barb9. You can load up shield, mage armor, jump, tumble, blur, resist energy, displacement and haste. (probably more)

If all you use magic for is buffs you could take off the armor and cast then put it back on or just accept the occasional spell failure and recast.
