Well, I'll tell you what. The preraid was so tricky that it took us 5-6 solid days to crack the riddles. When we were done and had shared our findings with a few allies on Risia, leaks started happening immediately. I was kind of mad at myself for not keeping the answers under wraps a little better.

Now, anyone who knows me (actually knows me, not just flames me incessantly on the boards) knows that I have shared more raid secrets/strats with other guilds than anyone. This time I felt differently. This is the first time I have tried to practice a raid on Risia before it went live. The hours upon hours of toil convinced me that it was time to get selfish. Sure, I plan on helping other guilds with the answers but only after we manage to get the big payoff ourselves. We earned it. Knowing that leaks are inevitable and guilds who put NO work in on the raid would have the answers at their fingertips that we poured our blood sweat and tears for was extremely disheartening.

After seeing the raid firsthand, I am no longer bothered. Headstarts don't matter. This is the raid we have been waiting for. It makes the Titan in its early days look like Waterworks on normal. Your guild will not beat this raid unless you have people with SERIOUS gaming skills who practice IMPECCABLE teamwork and communication. Some of it, at first glance, seems ridiculously difficult. This raid is a proving ground and will truly serve to seperate the men from the boys so to speak. I can already see half of the people who have been whining nonstop about how easy the Reaver is crawling back to Gianthold like whipped puppies lol.

I look forward to the challenge but I do feel bad for puggers. A pugger will never get invited to this raid. It is simply suicide. Your team has to operate like a well-oiled machine in there. I remember a little while back when they announced the new raid loot system and some poor, misguided people kept loudly proclaiming over and over that the new system was better because more puggers would raid now. I knew they were badly mistaken then but it's going to be worse than I thought. I don't care how much of a lone wolf you think you are puggers... do yourself a favor and find yourself a guild ;)

meh given time people will work out a simplish method for anything, no matter how hard the raid after everyone has succesfully beaten it 5+ times pugs will start to become trustworthy and eventually will be accepted, GJ legion, it sounds like this raid is going to be fun and finally a challenge, the tor and gianthold content has been too easy, im looking forward to this challenge.

Man, I don't think so.
Turbine has really pulled off some crazy stuff with this raid, It's really hardcore.
There will be no pugger's with me on this, I tell ya that.
This isn't the Titan, whereas only a couple people need to know what to do.
The whole raid group better be on the same page or it's over. ;)

Well...I'm sure there will be pug groups for the raid. That's not the point. I doubt many of these groups will be successful but sure, I'm confident that there will be groups made up entirely of puggers.

Once most established guilds see what we're talking about, however, THEY won't be willing to fill open spots with puggers...not worth the risk.

Do you need a full 6 man party to do the pre reqs to get raid ready?

Or do you see that they can be 3-4 manned?

Oh by the way... Congrats

We 3-4 manned a lot of the sigil hunting and preraid but I don't reccomend it. I think it can mostly be soloed technically but I don't see it hapenning. You'll need a minimum of 2 for Fleshmaker and I don't see anyone soloing Ghosts or Inferno. I soloed the preraid up to the dragon many many times but the 4 preraid boss dungeons probably wouldn't work out so hot...

Wow, seems like a good fun challenge....

A good challenge for a small guild... Might be time to wave the recruiting banner again.

Gratz Legion....but all it gets you is still advance knowledge of how to get to the raid.

I mean NO disrepsect and I totally agree with your assessment of the Black Abbott. At Gencon the devs were showing us what he can do and its no joke. Devilmouse stated (as it was told to me) that the original Titan raid was EASY compared to this raid (as your comparison the WW or normal is pretty much right on).

Now when you want some tips on what to do to beat the Bud Abbot (my nickname...coined it first) then let me know....I can help you out....if you ask REAL nice. :D

Thanks for the screenshot.....
