Ok who's going!?

I am. Already got the page bookmarked so I can register early and get a better room. Got a special savings account all set up with $200 in it already. :D

We will have to see about doing another party. I will look into it in Merlask's absence. :D

Dates are Aug 14-17 and it is in Indy again (will be for 3 or 4 more years I think.)

Also I will be driving from NC via VA, WV, KY and up from Louisville to the Con. Need a ride just let me know.:)

Here's to hoping we see a better DDO presence at the next con. :D

Count me in. I had too much fun this past time to miss out. Another party would be great.

See you there.

Is Gen-Con still going to be held in Indy? A friend mentioned to me that it was going to be moved back to Milwaukee. Curious if anyone has heard anything about this or not. Going to do my best to make it anyway, went for 10 years and now I've missed two! Joys of getting married I suppose.

Yeah, I'm planning to be there next year. We totally need to have another DDO party!

At this years Gencon I came as part of a duo. Next year it appears I'll be quadrupling that. Yeah ... me, three friends, and all the wives. Whether the idea holds until the signup is another story. But it was so much fun, everyone wants in on the party.

I will plan on being to Gencon next year in some capacity.

DDO, and fourth edition will be the reason I come back (and I will contact my old friends, the deadly sins, to see if they are coming too) so we can talk of the good ol' days.....

Hope to see the DDO booth at gencon, with computers set up for playing!

oh BTW... We NEED to invite Kieth Baker this time. He really wanted to come but didn't know about it ahead of time.. So put that on our lists!! *note to self*

Done. I invited him and James Wyatt at this years Con, but they could not make it. So he gave me his email addy and I have already told him I am starting to think to this coming Con. We WILL have him this year. :D

Are you going to handle all the prep work this year and cover the cost. If that is the case we should set somthing up so we can send you some money. I dont want you to have to foot the entire cost like Merlask did at this years. Also if you need any help let us know. Alot of us would be willing to help out.

Travelling from Seattle.. hopefully next year on my motorcycle!!!!!!!!

Hey Kashka, if you ride in, I will bring my Indian and we will get a good ride in around the Indy area.

Good way to get ready to save Arlos.

I hope to see you there again.

Details

I didn't go this yr for financial reason and not sure I could pull enough funds out of my portable hole.

How much is parking at/near Jillian's because I didn't know if it is/was considered event parking or not?

Does Jillian's have a cover/enter fee?

What, if any, other charges?

Price range of drinks?

Ok kiddies here is my plan. I am going to keep saving as planned and will wait to see if Turbine will do something for us this coming year (remember our Merlask is on the inside now, maybe she will pull something out of that wonderful hat of hers.) When we are 6 months out if I haven't heard anything I will start planning. For now keep it in mind and every month I will remind people how close we are...(for those that don't have my myspace page where I have a countdown going lol)

BTW: 11 Months, 7 Days, 3 Hours, 45 Mins, 50 Sec:D

Really upset that I missed it this year. Definately more so as I live in Indy. Just couldn't get away from work. Really hard to do in retail mgmt. However I can get it done next year, I WILL be there....I am not missing another one. And as far as the party is concerned. I would be more than happy to help with setup, etc.....and I agree, we should find a way to get some donations for you. From what I have been reading and seeing, it looked like a blast! And I for one am willing to chip in. :)

Gencon has no immediate intentions of moving away from Indy. The reasons are many fold. Good location. ICC expanding. Nice Hotels local. 'Middle area' of the US to draw from all 4 corners. And... Mr Gencon Adkins likes Indy.

Going to do my best to make it anyway, went for 10 years and now I've missed two! Joys of getting married I suppose.

The answer to this problem? Divorce!

The answer to this problem? DIVORCE! I do have an individual who may also be recently divorced if you require 'hooked-up-ness'. (See above.);)

Count me in. Wouldnt miss it. Merlask paid some cash out of her own pocket to get Jillians this year (did you think that the pizza and wings were free?) - and would be cool if we could get some fund going to cover that. Sure, too early to say for sure now, but it would be nice to have a private room and whatnot. Count me in for some fundage.

Vizzini post about Turbine coming to San Diego got me to thinking. Is DDO going to be at Gencon this year ? It doesn't look like that Wizards of the coast is going to be there this year due to an on going law suite between Lucas and Gencon. The deal was that for Lucas to show up last year to Gencon, that Gencon was suppose to donate X amount $ to a charity. That didn't happen i guess. So, wizards is trying to stay out of it and they don't look like they are showing up (per their forum). Which is upsetting, since 4th ed is coming out and I wanted to check it out. So, does anyone know if DDO is going to be there or not ?

No idea about DDO/Turbine?

WotC IS (per email from GenCon) just announced as major sponsor of GenCon.

But alas, the Lucas Lawsuit still has the future of GenCon in question. We shall see.

I need times places, and events! I am coming to GenCon JUST for the DDO party, and as a matter of fact, am available as a helper if needed.

Not sure if I can come in costume though, I cant find any suitable monk outfits with a pottery "hooch" bottle on the side :P

I plan on hosting an event at the DDO Party, something I'd like to call:

"Dare to reach into Shaamis' Sack of stuff"

or

"Shaamis' Grab Bag"

I will have a bag full of paper tickets, and everyone gets one free grab. What's on the ticket is what you receive!

Items such as: +1 Heavy steel shields, +3 dwarven Axes, a dirty kobold drink (tasty!), or a +4 strength ring!

I will have multiple +1 tomes in the grab bag as well, dragon scales, and more!

Not sure if Shaamis (me) is going to require a DDO trivia question for a bonus pull yet or not.....

I guess we'll see how things go

Meh I live here and that usually means there might be an afternoon pop up storm if it gets warm enough. It's been a relatively cool summer here this year. Temps this week/end for GenCon are more similar to our late September weather. Perfect for riding around with the top down (unless you see a storm moving in) hehehehhe.

I'll be floating around most of the days, heck I can walk over during lunch thur/fri since I work that close. Will see ya'll Friday night for sure at the Turbine Event.

Hard top.... Looks kinda weird hauling the top around in the back when i take it off without a garage/driveway to stash it in.

Was eyeing those temps, though. Guess I could always go dig my soft top out of storage.... ;)

What a great time at Jillians. It was wonderful to meet every, Kate, Eldorado, Patience, etc. Wow, you're really kewl people and thanks for taking the time to listen to us, ask us what we like about the game and what we don't like, it was a great opportunity to talk with you IRL and you really struck me as honestly wanting to know. I went to see Kate at the booth and half expected her to be so busy she'd barely have time to say hi and thanks for playing, but she spent at least 20 min with me talking about the improvements and plans for the next coupel of mods as if I were the only person there. It was refreshing to see someone in Kate's position that personable and willing to take time to talk to one fan of the game. :-) So my +6 Charisma Helm off to the team at Turbine. :D
