Help with tank build

Hi,

I have been playing a tank in WoW for one and a half years, and now I have decided to move on to Dungeons & Dragons. I'm want to go full tank spec, max armor and threat. Can you please tell me what race is best for a tank? Also what build is best for tanking and holding aggro while having max survivability? Thank you in advance.

I came from WoW as well where I was the guilds MT and let me say straight off that there is no tanking in this game like in WoW. There are tools like intimidate but in general they tend to be more crowd controlling than agro holding. In general, a good group is one in which everyone tanks in some regard.

I have an intimitank myself and its great fun, very different style and you still have a strong active roll in controlling the battle. I went 3 level Pali rest fighter, but thats just me (and I am a newbie too ;)
