Dragonscale armor for a cleric?

I've amassed a large amount of scales and was considering picking up some of the new dragonscale armor, but I'm kinda at a loss as to which suit to buy. I've seen alot of clerics using the black scale armor. Looking at the stats though I'm not sure I would un-equip my Stonemeld armor for it. Wiz V, good, but I currently wear a WizVI hat. Sacred imho blows. Undead guard would seem to me to capture more unwanted aggro.

Any suggestions, or thought would be appreciated. What works for you guys?

I use the blue on both my clerics, but I am an offensive caster and I like having spell penetration 7 on my armor so that I can equip a Superior Potency 6 weapon and a Superior Void Lore weapon at the same time, it also has greater arcane lore which is kinda nice.

If you just heal, then perhaps the black would be better for you, not sure if you have a Wiz 6 item, but the dragon helm seems to drop alot, and you might want to get that at some point.

Clerics are probably the only class out there that can make use out of any of the 3 armor types.

White - Battle Clerics
Blue - Offensive Casters
Black - Generalists, Majority of Clerics

The main benefit to dragon armor is the fact that it should let you free up a slot or two currently used elsewhere. Think I'm going to put Black on my cleric, and that will free up his trinket. Then put the battle coin in his trinket slot. So, oddly enough, I'm trying to get the Black Dragonscale armor, mostly for a +1 to-hit.



Basically -
* Blue is nice if you don't want to hold a Lore item in your hands, and want it meshed into your armor.
* Black is nice if you want to free up your current Magi/Wizardy slot so you can move your gear around and put something else in there.
* Both are nice for 1 extra point of AC if you can get your AC high enough to matter.

+6 Wisdom 'Velah' Dragon Helm
Black Dragon Armour
Head of Good Fortune (trinklet)

Give WizVI hat to your Sorc or Wizard.

Undead Guard is good. eg, if you're the last one standing, all you do is block and let the undeads hit u until they auto die. Might take a while but they die, you don't [Clerics saves party... everyone cheers!] :)

Not to mention Greater Acid resistance is the best! :)

I gotta say I use the Blue on my Caster/Healing cleric and the Black on my Healing/Battle Cleric. The Black allows me to wear a nice trinket slot item and the +6 Wis helm if I choose.
