Been in DDO for about six(6) weeks now and enjoying the game.

I am liking the rank/enhancement in DDO and when I found out that I can raise my ability by using 'enhancement'...
wow! very nice.

It appears that when a class lvl reaches lvl2 for Sorc, I can get a enhancement (Sorc Charisma I) giving me +1 to CHA and goes for Paladin Class lvl2 (paladin CHA I).

Can I acquire both of these enhancements?

I first acquired the (Paladin Charisma I) early on...after lvling my toon from (2Paladin/1Sorc) to (2Paladin/2Sorc) should I be able to get (Sorcerer Charisma I) enhancement? Or Is it because I got one(1) for the Paladin stat already I cant get the other (Sorc CHA I)?

Toon is now (2Paladin/3Sorc) and the enhancement is still not being made available as selectable enhancement.

you can only take ONE line of class enhancements of the same stat, however you can take race + class enhancements of the same stat(if available), and you can take 2 different class enhancements of different stats, so basically you need to decide which class you will go higher level in, and go with that classes line of charisma enhancements, because the higher you go in a given class you can unlock further stat enhancements up to +3 at class level 9

hope this helps
post if you have any further questions

Ghostryder answered it.

But, there was recently another thread in a different forum area about something like this. Here is a post very similar to your situation, but using DEX instead of CHR - Post (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=1324612&postcount=8)

For devs: A limitation message indication on the UI
"Multi/class: You may posses one Charisma I at a time." or
something similar message e.i. as in "Rogue: Specialty"
======================

Thank you...I got the answer so quickly guys...
recap...if I understood:

Does the enhancement (Sorc CHA II) requires having (Sorc CHA I) for it to be selectable at Sorc class lvl5? I guess I will find out when I get there.

I hope I can keep the (Paladin CHA I) and at (5Sorc) be able to select (Sorc CHA II).

if you decided to go further in the sorcerer class than the paladin class, you will need to redistribute your enhancements by talking to one of your class trainers, and then take sorcerer's charisma I instead of paladin's charisma I, because sorcerer's charisma I is required to advance to sorcerer's charisma II and III

Sorc CHA II does require Sorc CHA I, and having Pally CHA I will not satisfy that requirement.

Whichever class you're going to level the highest - take the enhancements for that class if you are offered one for both classes.

If you're going 10-Sorc/2-Pally -- Take the Sorc CHA.
If you're going 10-Pally/2-Sorc -- Take the Pally CHA.

If you're going 10-Sorc/2-Pally and you have taken the Pally CHA -- Go ahead and spend the money to redo your enhancements. That will wipe them all clean and let you start picking over again so you can get the Sorc CHA. Pretty sure the lower level you are, the cheaper it is to reset your enhancements.

I may be wrong here but ....

Yes U need to have sorc cha I first to be able to obtain sorc cha II and u will need sorc cha II to eventually get sorc cha III.

what i would do is this pay the money to redo your enhancements now while your a lower level, dont have that many enhancements, and it would cost less .... to get sorc cha I. You will still have the same benifits of your cha ie. spell points and saves and what not .... you will be doing yourself some good by being able to eventually get higher cha score

For dev: Costly in-game resources for something so trivial.
Not that I made a mistake. The UI requirements were all green.
------------------------------
Sorcerer charisma I
Cost 2 Action points (checked)
Total of 2 Action points spent required (checked)
Available to Sorcerer class lvl 2 (checked)
Grants +1 increase to Charisma score.
((Multi/class: You may posses one Charisma I at a time.))
------------------------------
(()) message could have clued me in!
=========================

Yes, I have reset my enhancement.
Thank you all for the replies.

Yup, the VERY nice thing about enhancements is how relatively easy it is to reset them (Compared to SKILLS (never), Stat Boosts from LEvels (NEVER) or Feats (Dragon Shards and mucho $$$$).

So if you make a mistake, or want to try out a different suite of enhancements it is pretty easy to do.

Oh yes! very nice indeed...dont get me wrong, but my qualm was about the UI: requirements being all green!! How would I to know there is a restriction prior to this thread :)

off-topic: NW1 by Bioware does allow for saving of Skill-points.

Anyway dont really care weather I can (save/change) it or not; I just don't like being mislead.

I just take the rules for what it is...getting mislead is something else.

Still, I got a quick response on here... so now I know :)
