My statement first ..then my question. Wizards and Sorcs get to teleport to the Portable Hole and have anything they require at their disposal. ( one stop shopping) Question is...Why do Clerics get a teleport spell that is absolutely useless??? There is NOTHING in the temple to DO or BUY, so WHY?? Are the DEVS planning on helping out the Clerics in the near future ? Please, add a way for the clerics to get the things they need in one spot ( Teleport Spell ). Only FAIR !!!!

I have to agree. The only use I ever found for that spell is an instant recall.

I use it all the time when I want to visit the House D broker. Saves me a lot of running from GH.

its useful for when your running the quest that you get in there, since you exit in house K now when you recall, instantly going to the quest giver saves yourself time, especially if your doing a lot of Ore runs.

I solo quite a bit. Sometimes not that well... Double clicking the Word of Recall is a lot better than a painful death.

No Auctioneer...Do you hear yourself? Some toons are just spoiled ! As for Potion Vendors...At least you have one there. I do agree that if you have an urge to visit the vendor it's helpful... if you want to spend a minute to memorize the spell. I personally don't keep it in my spell slot...just to many other more useful spells to keep on me.

And that addresses the fact that the spell was bungled by Turbine how? At the very least the bind point should be in J where they might actually want to go.

no it doesnt but it does address the fact missed by the OP. word of recall =/= teleport. teleport is a spell designed for a caster to be instantaneously moved to ANY location. the more unknown or unfamiliar the location is to the caster, the higher the chance of a failure. this is how it is in pnp. in ddo this is a fixed 1% failure

word of recall is a different spell all together. its a spell that removes a cleric from a hostile situation and moving him/her to a pre-determined safe location. this location is usually a temple of the same faith. since there is only one temple in DDO (temple of sovereign host), hence the cleric is "teleported" there.

what turbine should have done is to allow players to set 1 pre-determined bind spot, which is not what the OP suggested. what he wanted was all the ammenities to be at his disposal.

Sir Dunham Mckenzie or whatever his name is no longer teleports you to the quest, you have to go through the Black Anvil Forest encounter area instead (caravan by the bank in House K)

yes, but when you leave the quest, you still come out in house K where you go in. thus you can get your reward when completing it a lot quicker. Cast WoR instead of finishing out and you save a lot of time, especially if you got slow loading screens.

It's a great spell for when all the little fleshlings rush forward into a fight expecting heals, and suddenly you vanish.

Seriously though, clerics are not wizards.

Intriguing... I think I want to level my cleric now just for the joy of what you described.

Edit: Ninja!
