Hey guys.
I have never played a Fighter to know what the Defense line of enhancements gives you, Does it allow for a higher MAX DEX in armour, or is it DR/-.
Will it be worth re-setting enhancements when Mod 5 gets here.
Any help greatfully accepted.

I'm confused. You ask about the defense line for fighters in a ranger forum. So I'll try to cover a few things.
Favored Enemy: Defense - grants you a bonus to your AC versus your Favored Enemies
That's the only ranger defense enhancement, really. Dwarven rangers would get some stuff with Giant Dodger, but that's more race specific than class oriented.
For fighters, there's stuff like Fighter Armor Mastery, which increases the Max Dex Bonus you get from armor, there is Tower Shield Mastery (same thing, but for Tower Shields, obviously), there is Armored Agility which lowers the Armor Check penalty for your armor.
I'm rather at a loss for what exactly you're looking for.

Heh.. I think you are confusing people a little bit Tharris, since the item defense line does *neither* of the two options you listed.
Lines of Item Defense enhancements have been added to Barbarians, Paladins, Rangers, and Rogues. Note that these lines, unlike the Fighter Item Defense line, are only three enhancements deep, and are acquired at higher levels than the Fighter Item Defense enhancements. Paladins receive Item Defense enhancements at levels 3, 7, and 11, while the others receive them at 5, 9, and 13. Fighters continue to receive them at levels 1, 5, 9, and 13. As with all class enhancements, purchasing level one in one class will lock out the lines from the other classes.
My understanding is that Item defense makes it less likely that your weapons/armor/etc will be damaged in combat.

Sorry guys, your quite right I was confused.
I mis-read the update, and thought that Rangers were getting some enhancements that might gives us better AC or DR.
As was correctly pointed out, it is item defense.
Sorry for confusion, you may all go about your business again :-)

Though an Improved 2 Weapon Defense enhancement chain would be nice to lobby for. :D (Since shields in this game suck hard.)
