Now is my 97th time watching this film...

True Romance...

Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette.. I love her giggle...

The showdown between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper... the brain mashing with a toilet... brad pitt as the stoner and even the Tarantion' writing of Sonny chiba... hell this is still the baddest film ever made...

So here's my riddle.. who is the Ghost of Elvis?

I always thought it was Val Kilmer......or did you mean in a more metaphorical/metaphysical sense?:D

Hell ya... just woke up, dreaming of Alabama:)

The epitome of cool hot chick..

Whats cooler than knowing that the woman you love is capable of stabbing, burning, smashing and shooting a heavy hitter?

And then still looking sexy in hot pants:D

Well, now, let's not go overboard here. Much is such a strong word. :D
I'd quote my favorite part of Res Dogs but it would go into the filter incredibly funny and come out unrecognizable. I'll just say it had a lot to do with Madonna. ;)

I luv his films own all on dvd... think true romance is a better bit of work IMO, both great films... love his use of 60's and 70's RnB and Rock, love the way he writes dialogue (the best feature of his movies other than casting) .....my order of his films is as follows

1. True Romance
2. Pulp Fiction (just can't get enough of jackson's wallet)
3. Res Dogs (I like Mr. Pink, and why no one can be Mr. Black)
4. Jackie Brown (awesome cast, awesome soundtrack well done)
5. Kill Bill II
6. Kill Bill
7. His Short in 4 Rooms it's the "Man from Hollywood"

his new one in grindhouse I did't care for, but a very talented man very talented

Yeah, I've come to terms with the fact that I may be the only person on the face of the planet who LOVED this movie. It was worth it just for the previews. :D
The Machete trailer is quite possibly the most awesome thing I've ever seen.:p

QT movies rock (Yeah yeah, Tony Scott directed it, but QT wrote the script). So does Christian Slater (Pump up the Volume FTW). I just wish Patricia would do somehting about her nose.

TR may be my favorite movie. If you dig those kinds of films, might I humbly suggest...

Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (Treat Williams as "Critical Bill", 'nuff said) (plus Walken!)

Suicide Kings (Walken!)

Albino Alligator

The Usual Suspects

Fight Club

Smoking Aces (if only for The Tremors!!!!)

Sincerely,
Some thoughts from Meepo
PS Don't even get me STARTED on zombie movies......

We know he only wrote the screenplay (the studio wouldn't let him direct it, but they did give him a pretty good sum for it) but it's his movie he wrote the everything, the dialouge the is all him, you can see how simliar it is to all his other work as well....

Snatch is definately one of my favorite movies

hey what was the name of the kiddy movie with that little kid that got stuck in a fairy tale book and he had the huge dog that flew him around while he had to do all this adventuring to save this little ice princess girl.

his name was sebastian, the dogs name was falcor i think, and i remember always looking forward to that scene with the twin stone statue chicks that had the cleavage.

...man cant think of the name of that movie at all

I think everyone missed one of Mr Slater's best performances in one of the best movies ever:

Pump up the Volume

Cult movie definitely - haven't seen it? Go watch it!

(I'm the eat me-beat me lady)

WEEDO: Movie: Neverending Story; Main Character: Bastion; Big Dog: Luck Dragon named Falcor; Sequels: 3 (all bad)

No I didn't... see my earlier post. I love this movie. Good music!!! (Would you like whale sperm with that?)

All good movies listed... Though honestly Smoking Aces irritated me. Snatch and Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels was awesome. Natural Born Killers rocked. No one mentioned Heat yet, and I always thought of that as an awesome flick.

Did someone mention Zombie flicks? I love em. The two Evil Dead movies proove that you can make millions off $20K in Kayro Syrup and red food coloring (can't really count Army of Darkness, it actually had a budget. But it still rocked!) And we can't forget Shaun of the dead, 28 days later, the Living dead series, Dawn/Day/Night of the Dead, and CHUD!!!

You young punks need to spend sometime with Stanley Kubrick.

2001
The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
A Clockwork Orange

And others. One of my favourite quotes of all time from Full Metal Jacket, "How can you just shoot women and children like that? It's easy, I just don't lead them as much".

And the all time greatest, Doctor Strangelove. "Gentlemen please, no fighting in the war room".

How could I have not mentioned Guy Ritchie's films!!!! Lock-Stock and Snatch are very, very good. And I am a huge Kubrick fan so I dig that list as well. Heck, I even liked Eyes Wide Shut for the Kubrick style cinematography even if the story was horrid. Also, Peter Jackson's early stuff is a hoot: Bad Taste and Braindead (aka Dead Alive). Also Memento, Requiem for a Dream, and

Meepo

PS CHUD FTW!!!!!! ("And that's when the Chuds came after me....", Homer J. Simpson)

Oh, please! We all know the greatest film of all time was Airplane! the movie. :D

Here! Here!

"I picked a hellova day to quit drinking."

...

"I picked a hellova day to quit marijuana."

...

"I picked a hellova day to quit methamphetamines."

...

"I picked a hellova a day to quit cocaine."

...

And the hilarity of the whole scene with the inflatable doll as the autopilot is beyond description. Not to mention every time you see the plane flying, it's got propeller drone instead of turbine engine sound, a very subtle insertion that absolutely has anyone in aviation in complete stitches.
