So, my 10th leveler has the mid-level blues, and I assume from the brave, doomed PUG I was in last night in the Hold I'm not alone.
My cleric is level 14 but all he ever ends up going on are guild raids.. my low and mid levels alts can always get groups, but my level 10? No love.
We need more 9-12 & 10-13 runs - Desert, Gianthold, Ataraxia. Help your juniors out. Show some love. :)
Sincerely,

Dude......Good idea!
I'm going to work on leveling a Sorc. to 10 right now.
Then when he gets there I'll help others do quests, but I'll finish out before the end.
See that way, I won't get XP.......and I'll stay level 10 forever......so you'll have someone to play with......and the good of the comunity! ;)
NOT!.........LOL! :D
You thought I was serious didn't you?
Did you pee a little with excitement.
Did I break your feelings?
Well suck it up and hate on brother!
What were you thinking?

Hi Moore,
I've got a lvl 9 Ranger, that I'm working on... I'll be more than pleased to be a member of your team...
...but yeppers... beatching about something gets disrespect... asking for something will yield you NICER results. I can honestly say, asking for help will get you hoards of "you bet man, see you then, lets get'er done" over a complaint. Xoriat was always this way... we hate whiners and will always help those who ask...

Well, thank you. Good stuff. Hope to see you around the server.
Honestly, though, who's whining or *****ing? I suggested to the populace that they put up more lfms for level 10s -- of course not just for me. If someone want to be offended by that, that's their prerogative. Anyway, rants don't bug me - after all, it takes seconds to update my ignore list..

Got a L10 too and I agree it's the hardest level to get groups. By that I mean not only there are few groups going on, but I have trouble getting people into my groups. That may be because I tend to do a wide range of quests instead of the most popular ones...

I still remember there was a day when lvl 10's did everything, except for the DQ and Stormreaver raids, lvl 10 was able to do it all.
I for one am all about running lower lvl dragon raids. Yes, xp is key so dying needs to be down to a minimum but it is completely possible to do the Dragon and Titan raids at lower levels. YOu just have to make sure the leader restricts those of higher lvls.

The dragon and Tempest Spine on normal are good bets. I'm up for all of those.
HIPS can be fun... Ghola Fan too.. BAM... Cult of Six on elite... I'm going to try and get up an Ataraxia run next time I run my 10. I've been missing Scrag.. [PS: something I didn't know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataraxia]
I should post a player coordination thread and see who uses it - I wonder if I should use this forum or "Player Quest Coordination?"

Sure was! I was member #2 with my collection of mid-level alts. Alas, we are defunct...
I am amused to relate that everyone thought the MLB was a great idea, but joining up..? We were swimming against the pull of their main's guild chat - nobody can be blamed for that. And groups at most levels are great now - I can always find work for my mid-levelers. There's just that old N-5 business going on (where N=level cap).

Having levelled through 9-12 with two alts before Gianthold, these are things that can be done, off the top of my head:
Von 1-6
Twilight Forge (HIPS, Ghola Fan, Shrieking Mines, Titan Raid)
Tempest Spine
Threnal East, West, South
Invaders
Made to Order
Ataraxia's Haven quests
Beyond the Grave
And the Dead Shall Rise
Xorian Cypher
The Pit
Grey Moon/Co6
Wisperdoom
The Hidden Valley quest from House P (Next to Tangleroot)
Desert Quests (Wiz King, Offering of Blood, Chain of Flames, DQ1&2--but also the 4 side quests and Desert Caravan)
In addition to those, there are now several Explorer areas in that level.
I hardly see it as lacking content, maybe lacking people to put a party together, but that is what a guild and the server merger were for.

level 10, take a party level 10-14 and walk for 40 minutes in the desert (8-18K xp), after, go to ruins of gianthold (5-22K xp) and finish in ataraxia (sp?) area (15K xp total)
not bad, not bad, but is a some XP...
2 runs of von 5 (normal/hard) with group in level range (max 10 or 11) works good (22K xp)
and you can always run a 10-13 side quests of gianthold (level 13, 9K xp normal to 16K xp elite) and a pop run (level 14 quest, 16K xp base - 30K xp on elite first time if group max is 13)

Actually, I'm not knocking the OP.
I'm giving a reason as to why Rayzorlew posted his scathingly funny reply. He got slammed by the way his language got percieved, like you are percieving what I wrote as a nasty comment.
It isn't but some folkes will see the post as if it is. It is perception, and the way each person interprets language and tone... again this comes down to Norms and societal differences... I have my style, he has his and you have yours...
...I can verify this with one point...
Above the comment that a few have focused on is:

Sugar and salt... vinegar and honey... Maybe we need to think about why we are reacting ("we" meaning "Me" of course as I am not about to judge anyone else) to .... certain things. Saying "I'd love to group with you" and then following it with "Stop whining" seems to me to be in the vein of a "backhanded compliment," if you know what I mean by that, to some extent. :) Just my perspective! I have an 8 ranger too and have been having some trouble levelling her grouping with guildies only so maybe I'll be lucky enough to run into you guys as you are grouping, levelling, etc. Of course the hope is of course the OP can connect with some nice other people as you are playing and gaining xp for your chars, and good luck.

My argument exactly - plenty of us have characters just below 11 that are languishing in dolorous neglect, and we all just have to find each other and go kill something. No forum flames required.

I have noticied the same thing. Getting from 8 to 10 was very hard, especially for a casual player. A lack of clerics seems to be the cause, they level very easily so they can get through 8 to 11 quickly, I know I did. I have still not finished the von series for the first time.
I had an extremely good weekend for leveling. I got my tank from level 9 to 30k from 11. There are groups out there, it just seems they are guild groups and you have to be lucky and get in when someone drops. Also, I know the explorer/slayer quests are out there, but man 1500 kills. That is a lot of repetitiveness.
Thanks to Shun (I think that is his name) from RAGE for the excellent gianthold runs for xp.
It just takes more effort than most of us woudl like to put in. Luckily I just started rolling my 32 point build toons. So I have several toons to play around with. I just keep an eye on the group listing. If I see an opening for one of my toons I send the group leader a tell asking if he can wait and my toon can join.
I also want to thank the Dead Blades for the excellent scale run last night to. It was my first time completing all three dragons.

I apologize if you interpreted my post as a slam... sometimes by language comes as harsh... what I wrote was a "generalization" not meant to be taken personal. I've learned one thing over the years, if you preface a statement with "don't take this personal" or "you know hon, I love ya..." well the reader either gets more pain or a but... and like all things it turns into more pain in the butt:D ... so I don't siften myself... it's just not worth the effort.
Plus I find, being a bit more controversial is more fun. Don't take everything I say too seriously... most of the time I'm joking...
...as a post note I'll mention something a person once said to me when they joined my party for the first time a year ago, "holy **** man, you're not half the a$$ I thought you were from the forums":D

Hey, everyone, thanks for the offers to group. I will keep an eye out for your characters. Look for AEsahaettr - it's not as hard to type as it looks! [As to when, tonight's schedule is shaky, but I'll be on by 9:30 PM EST tomorrow.]
So, a Monday Thelanis tour report::
I logged in right as a Tempest Spine raid was forming. I also saw a lowbie Cabal for One run and a VON run;* so maybe I've just been failing my DC the last few nights.
A couple of us from the raid kept the festivities going. Did some different stuff to keep moving - Dhakaan elite with no rogue (so no shrines!), short-manned the desert, etc. It was all good! We could have certainly used your wizard/rogue, foxracing. :)
Dhakaan with no shrines was awesome. I invite anyone who is bored by the game to decide to stop using rest shrines and let me know how things go. When I get bored someday I might start an Impermadeath group: death is final for the purposes of the quest & no shrines.
*I was amused to note that when I checked LFMs last night for long stretches there were only LFMs for levels 1-14, 11-14, and one VON 4. The VON 4 note said: "For flagging, DON'T send tells asking me what flagging is." We've all been there. C'est tres drole, n'est-ce pas?
And everyone is saying there is a lack of challenge....
It seems the lvl10 void that many of us find ourselves in, seems to push us to short-man more, fear death much more, and try new tactics, etc....
I think at this lvl range is where we learn our char's the most. Everyone else in that range is in the same situation. Everyone wants to get the most XP as possible before the group drops and getting another is a low chance. Thus players seem to play less wrecklessly, and try hard to make the group want to stick for more, while they have the chance.
When we all first lvl capped way back when it was at these lvl's....I IMO think that it was hard to really measure your char's strengths and weaknesses, due to always full groups/repetition of quests/gear available at that time, and so on.
Now even with twink gear , there is some challenge to be had. It may not be the kind everyone is seeking.......But hitting lvl11 and 12 actually still give the sense of accomplishment.....Then the task of getting the $%^& you need to become what you now realize is this char's true role, and to ensure it is not you who is "that guy" a.k.a the constant party burden. Thus there were many of those types when the cap was lower and they stood out thru lvl14. Nowadays there seem to be less 13-14lvl useless gimpish types.(of course, yes, there are still some around)
I beleive that due to the mid-level void, many are more prepared and dedicated to what they are bringing to parties that they rely/expect you to do.
Just my take on the subject. I'm hoping I'm not the only one who has some optimism left in this gloom-filled, eternally unsatisified population of spreading woeful contagious infection.

You are absolutely right - I think the game is now really easy at low levels, at least if you aren't on your first character. Circa 10th level is when you find out if your build is sound, if you are using good strategies.
I love a lot of the content at this level... or just within reach of this level. If you can drag people out of the Gianthold there's a lot of good stuff to do.
When you're doing a run like you describe - Dhakaan with no shrines, short-manned.. or a quest that requires strategy and tactics like Xorian Cipher, the Pit, or VON 2/3/4 -- you may find yourself looking around at other players and shaking your head*. They're not going to make it, you say. Eventually most of them will.
I love this game, I'm still find quests I've never run (still haven't finished the desert or restless isles chains with any character), and I'm still enjoying content I've run before. As long as you can get a group, life is good!
*Especially when they fall off the wind pillars for the 4th time in VON 2.
** Last night's LFMs - mostly 1-14 or 13-14!. Yay. I put up a bunch of 8-11 and 9-12 quests - ran all of Ataraxia and VONs 1-2. THANKS to the GM who helped us in VON 2 last night. Indyran had our bug fixed in less than five minutes.

I've got a lvl 10 as well and it is hard to find group. I just started running gianthold stuff and, if you don't have the right group make up, it can stick that XP in the hole really quick. Guilds help a bunch, as you probably already know. Since the merge, I try to join some PUGs just to see what guilds from the other servers have decent folks. We allied with a couple of larger guilds just to have a larger group of people to call on if we don't have enough. Good luck!

I've found that you have to be willing to put up your own LFMs, and to run less intense stuff on elite - today I got a group together and did Stromvauld and Stormcleave again on elite. stuff like that will make up for the failed POP runs and the like.
My big problem is that I rarely get more than a two to three hour block to play -- I'm home alone for once! and have leveled my level 10 character that prompted the post to 11. Once you get a good group together, if you can hold on to them for a few hours you're set.
Be back on tonight - I've got Invaders and Ghola Fan next on my list. :)
