Are you level 5-7, at least light RP, and have the desire to adventure with your regular Comrades everyweek?
If any server newcomers are interested, my particular team has at least one permanent spot open (a rogue might fit in nicely)!
I may actually have another permanent spot available so inquire click here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=116781) if you're interested in joining a Monday 8PM P.S.T. Group .
FYI: The Monday E.S.T. Team also has an opening, follow the signature link to learn about other team options including a new team in the forming stage.

============================================
I run the Dedicated Teams guild here, we have 10 teams that run the gambit from little to Medium RP+ on their particular Dedicated Day/Time slot. Although the Sunday presence could be seen by the gathering of Warforged that comprise our two Sunday Teams, I would really need to defer to LightStorm's Dragonslayers for additional information. I will ask an officer to contact you.

soo... take it sarlona sundays dont exist anymore then?
((Well, it may seem that Monday nights are full of RPr's, but that doesn't mean Sarlona Sundays are no more. ( I haven't been to one in a while... but Ded Teams doesn't have the market cornered on RP! Plenty to go around!) ))

I have not been a roleplayer but that doesn't mean I would not like to try. Just don't really understand the mechanics of it I guess. Now while adventuring I guess you stay in character but now when the mobs are coming is it swing and forget or is it scripted I just don't understand that part but like I said I am interested and would be willing to RP well this is an RPG right. I have many characters at many levels so pm or respond here if you want to take a noob along to learn.

I think I can speak for almost all RPrs when I say that nothing is ever actually "scripted". Other than that, I guess I can only go by the experience of my own team(s) and groups. Generally speaking, all you really need to do to RP is act like the character in the game would, not like the person behind the keyboard would.
For example, you can see the map. You may have zerged a dungeon a hundred times. But your party and your character might be new to the quest. Don't run thru, find the chest, deftly avoid the trap, etc. Have your character act like it's new. Maybe you run right into a trap because your character, quite frankly isn't that smart. (I might have done this once or twice, but let's not get too crazy!) Maybe you actually let the ranger or rogue scout ahead. (even though we all know that there are five mobs around the corner, two of them casters.)
As for the mechanics of it... most of us use the keyboard to speak in character, usually in the party tab, or even the guild and general tabs. Some use the mic, but limit it to emergencies, ie TRAP! (and very, very few rp using voice) If you want to type something out of character, put it in (( double parens, like this)).
There is also no requirement to talk funny. Ye cin speak enny way that is good fer ya, if ye be innarested. Or you can just talk normally. Just don't metagame (no spoilers).
It is usually easier to RP longer conversation outside of a danger zone, and keep them shorter inside. When a battle hits, it's not time to start play acting. It is appropriate to do what your level, class, and persona dictate. If your a tank with a devil may care attitude, charge the mobs. If you are a egotistic caster, run and hide. (just kidding... maybe:p ) Or hang back and fire a MM and a few snide comments.
It might help you decide how your character would act, if you come up with a backstory ahead of time. Are you a lone drow, rebelling against the norm, and embracing the comraderie of other races? Was your whole clan killed in a horrible accident that you believe you caused, and so you constantly are trying to atone for your perceived failure? Are you just a mysterious stanger seeking fame and fotrune in the wild new land of Stormreach. Make it as detailed or sketchy as you want, and use it to color your decisions.
It really isn't hard. If you're unsure what to do or say in a situation, just keep quiet. The only thing that is really a problem for RPing is metagaming.
So, Liamfrancais, I don't know if you've made contact with Thalion yet, but it seems like you have several characters that would be able to squeeze into one or more of our current teams. Check back on the main link OP here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=601791) to find a team that suits you, and contact that Team Leader directly. Some of the full teams don't mind having alternates, or taking cameo players from time to time.

liamfrancais and I have exchanged a few emails I think he may well soon find a way into one of our groups in the Guild.
Speaking of the Guild it is getting bigger and bigger and I am glad to have such fine officers as yourself in it to help!
Also :o I think your forum post put a clearer picture of how we RP vs my disjointed mail and link referrals to him Master Dwarf perhaps there is a Game Guide Prize (contest deadline was extended) waiting for you should you choose to submit one!
