Make the public areas more interactive - fun

Someone was talking about making weather mean more in Stormreach and I got to thinking it would be cool if we could come up with ways to make the public areas more interesting

Can we have random lightning strikes that hit players as they move around town for really bad storms?

god that would be funny - evasion toons would have a blast or keep your electrical resist up all the time when you see rain muhahahah

Maybe a random tornado now and then that tosses you way up in the sky and then you fall but if you have your FF you are ok :)

Oh hail storm would be awesome too - bludgeon damage


I am only semi joking I would love to see the static public areas be a little more interactive in some way

I would love to see the devs put a little hidden places ehre and there that are like 4x4 pixes to click on so your reticle doesnt give it away easily
You click on this "hidden button" and it do zones you into some secret location that has stuff you can buy or place you can hang out

I dont know just wandering in thought....would love to have an easter egg place that moves around the static areas depending on the day and takes you to a special secret instance of some type

I would love to have bars that requre 12 levels of some class to enter and have special services just for that class -

I would love to have a combat arena where you can fight test mobs of your choice one on one - and it can list who got farthest or someting

or you can set up a group of friends and have the game summon waves of scaling mobs ot see how much you can take before falling to the endless monsters - yet another leader board

A training obstacle course with mobs in it depending on class and the game can time and there can be a fastest leader board

I imagine everyone can come up with more but just things that would make down time fun - but the idea of a hidden instance that moves around that you might find once in a while would be fun as heck...see people standing around everywhere looking for it

I would feel sorry for all the bards. Everyone trying to 'enter' them. Maybe they can be giant bards who only eat certain classes and have fun stuff for them in their stomachs.

i'll be the guy ducking into the nearest instance during afks, thank you very much. it'd be kinda funny (and laggy) to see all of stormreaches' heroes huddled in the taverns because of some rain. :)

:suddenly you find that your HP's are slowly dropping, the blessing of the silver flame has been removed and so has you in town HP regen.

Standing still too long in outside places causes you to slowly dwindle ad die...

All the mailbox and auctioneer areas have been infested!

My poor Minsc was hit a couple times while we were in one of the outdoor areas hunting sirines. :eek:

I really wish they'd give us the option to turn weather effects off.

But as for making Stormreach more fun, I still want to see Velah attack the Market.
If nothing else they could just have her spawn on that flat roof near the girl that transports you to gianthold........give her elite stats and let her spawn her elementals to run around the market and attack people.
Then change that stupid reaver message to give credit to whoever delivers the killing blow....
Now that would be exciting!

I like the idea of performances by groups of bards in taverns. Have a lil clickie for tipping the band. Different songs available and so on. Random buffs awarded for listening for a certain amount of time.

Yes, let us definitely waste time of the Developers that make instances and quests in adding in annoying and time wasting things into the public areas. That would be great. At the same time lets mention that we need these things to keep us entertained while we are waiting for them to add more quests.:p

Waste of time, na, fun..... I like Big Red and her fire friends attacking the town.... I remember while playing UO, they used to have that kind of stuff.... Orc invasions, Litches attacking.... all kinds of cool stuff.... wish the Devs could give DMs that power to make that stuff (so we can get random invasions and things)..... The UO Devs did, can be done here too
