This post is being updated

If you are interested in joining Role Players, please contact the following in-game:

• Melodee, Zenix, Nellas, Uzzi
• Any RP officer (a quick tell to an online RP’er will get you to the right person)

The Role Players guild is based on personalities as well as play style, so the best way to decide if you are a fit is to go back to the core mission. You can find it at Role Players on Khyber (https://home.comcast.net/~roleplayers/).

Salutations, and see you online!

We can't have SRTG on the front page, and us on the 2nd! Next thing you know, MAC will start having dreams of grandeur! :D :p

I have quested with several of your members lately. I asked them: "When are you going to invite me on one of these role-playing quests? You must have seen my previous post (on the forums) expressing my interest in trying out the whole "role playing" thing."

Much to my surprise, I was told that "Role Players" is just another run-of-the-mill guild name...that they don't actually engage in "role playing". I was (understandably I hope) disappointed by this. I thought that the opportunity to "role play" my character was an interesting possibility...but I guess I have to wait for that (or somehow put it together myself).

Anyway, if you want a guild....this is one of them.

Aye, you have gotten to the crux of the issue. When we first started, we were focused moderately on role playing, but quickly found that there was not a lot of support for that playstyle in an open and free flowing guild setting. At least on Khyber, rp'ing has always been more suited to a static group. So, our guild somewhat floated away from that creation philosophy.

Having said that, there is a small core of players who still support a light roleplay environment, and we are currently pursuing ideas to reincorporate that into the guild. Though, to be fair, we are just at the planning stage. Part of the issue is that a number of players, like myself, have very sporadic play schedules; so have been unable to solely sustain such endeavors. However, please feel free to give us a test run, as we are are always open to ideas and input from energetic individuals who fit our personalities.

To sum up; if roleplaying is your thing, and you don't mind assisting in the recreation of that style, then let me know. I will offer as assistance as I can.

One of the things the Roleplayers has started doing is stratifying to meet the needs of the guildmembers. Primarily, the roleplaying aspect comes from a tendancy to do new content virgin, without prior knowledge of the quest. It is a strong focus of the guild. While we are not anti-zerging something we have all done 1,000 times (Dragon flagging for example), we tend to move a little slower through quests (as a guild, we don't hold PUG groups as we have a large number of very good players).

We do have a little bit of every kind of player out there, and if there is something that one person is interested in, they are free to form players around that idea. For example, I happen to like the Titan raid, and have taken it upon myself to help other guildies get flagged and do the raid. Just my little thing, but I like to do it.

We have some people who love to speed through everything and some people who like to go slow and smell the flowers. We try to make everyone feel welcome and benefit from what the guild has to offer.
