Yep, I'm taking plat offers on a +1 banishing rapier no rr, lvl 10. Spent all my plat in the last few weeks and need to get a little back. Remember , this is the best banisher in the game. Post offers here or send a PM. Thanks

Rapier critical threat range is 18-20, and that is the requirement for the banishment to happen. If you have Imp. Crit, it doubles to 15-20.

Alternatively, a Kukri is also a great banisher, for the same reason.

Banishing Falchion would be best. As you don't need much AC to fight elementals, and the expanded swing range lets you hit easier (especially against air elementals)

Tho slashing banishers no longer generate (theres still some PP ones on the server)

Best you could get recently is +4 banishing rapier (well +3 now, +4 during loot weekend or in mod5). I fail to see how a +1 is the best.

1mil plat not enough.. lol what are you trying to buy that 1 million plat won't get you?

Banishing doesn't come on slashing wepons if I understand things right. So Kukuri, and Kopesh wouldn't be possible. Another good option is short swords but they don't have the range the rapier does.

Yeah Artemis was the only person I know of that has a banishing scimitar. Too bad no more slashers, since the characters I play with use slashers.

Wasn't talking about the plus of the banisher, just the fact that the rapier is the best banisher in the game, for all the reasons given above. Banishing on a 15 is nice, believe me, I have 4 other bani rapiers I use. And the person asking about what I need plat for, try buying 1000 heal scrolls a week and there are lots of items on auction that sell for more than a million plat.

Ah, ok. I thought it was like a vorpal where you need to roll a natural 20. I haven't been lucky enough to pull a banisher yet, so thanks for the info. Learn something new everyday.:)

Whaaaat? Man, how in the hell do you use 1000 heal scrolls a week? Or more to the point, WHY do you use 1000 heal scrolls a week? I'm all for everyone playing the game the way they want to play, but ****, there has got to be an easier way for you to run your cleric.

Or at the least get one of those high haggle bards in your guild to pick them up for you. ;)

I try to save my SP on my cleric for when I really need it. It's only fake money, why not spend it? I blow through plat quick and then just turn around and sell junk on auctions or wherever and get it all back. I already have most of the items I need , so any epics I get I give away, (again, it's only fake items and money) or I sell them to support my cleric, or try trading for items I will actually use.

It's cool Boldrin, I was more curious than anything. Never known anyone to use so many scrolls was all. I use my SP first, then dip into the resources later. To each his own.

I guess if they take away Heal scrolls down the line, we'll know who to blame. :p

Scrolls are just too slow to use as a last resort, Spells are faster when things get hot and there are no shrines left. But I'm a wasteful person :P

I take it you don't have one if you think they're barely useful now. I use mine all the time on all my toons and THEY'RE GRRRRREAT!!! Just like Tony the tiger says.

I had two. +1 banishing of pure good, and a +1 banishing of tendon slice. I traded both because they were only useful in normal content.

S'ok, I run mostly elite content and they work fine, I'm sure the buyer will be more than happy.
