Solo Reaver

First off im not posting this to brag or nethin and i know im deff not the first to do it, im posting it cuz it is a big accomplishment for me and only took me 7 tries which isnt too bad.

About an hour ago i soloed the reaver raid, i didnt use any exploits just strategy, i really wanted to try it because i wanted to see if it could be done without exploits and it deff can, so im sorry to anyone i said other wise to.

Well after doin somethin like that i just felt like telling someone about it and noone i really know is on so u all have to read about it :) hehe

and i have a feeling there is gonna be some flaming so go ahead lol just wanted to post to let people know i did it :)

Gratz man. Been trying every three days or so lately til I get fed up and form a party. My wiz get 5-6 orbs lit then he's toast, but I will keep trying, because players like you give me inspiration to get it done!

AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I tried so hard last week on Battledrums to beat you to it!!! :p

Alas, I can never be as good as ole Freezing.... (was it Freezing or Sweetheart you did it with?)

Although I am happy to say I did get to the switch to kill him a couple of times and made it back in time but my Fascinate on the float back down wasn't timed right and the ellies tossed me around for a while. lol. After 6 tries I got bored and gave up... :rolleyes:

Anyway, gratz love and I'm not even a little surprised you conquered it WITHOUT tucking yourself into the secret corner (which I am ashamed to say IS how Battledrums managed to get as far as he did :o )...

I think one day I will be able to pull it off with Vexatious cause I'm kinda designing her for just that purpose, lol. And I'm a skill junkie... :( But man it's hard to level a Wizard, seems you actually need groups to get anywhere!!! I've been spoiled with Rangers and Bards and such being able to solo or two-man many quests to level. Now I have to actually get in groups! :eek:

Grats man, I know a few people in NSR have been trying recently (but no luck yet afaik) - and it's probably a good idea to do it before they nerf/change/fix the raid

yup, zero reason to solo raids after they change the lewt mechanic

(i guess that's one good thing about pushing mod 5 back...)

Yea it was wit my lvl 14 sorc that I did it with.

and yea i wasnt gonna try it with mod 5 comin so quick due to havin to swap out spells for it, but decided to try it, i put alot of thought into it before i went in and it seemed to work out good, not gonna lie had a lil bit of luck in there :) hehe

oh and as for the drops lol it was the madstone boots and the head. go figure lol cant use the boots and usin a pop x atm lol so the head didnt help much either lol.

but yea its not really too hard just put a lil thought into it and dont be afraid to fail a few time, i actually thought it would take more then 7 tries but with a lil luck hehe i got it early.

The very first all-serverwide solo run was done by a wizard. Of course, the cubby hole was not used.

I solo it with my wizard islewitch when I get bored she is 1rogue/13wiz so she has the umd to heal herself. things like falselife and protection from electricity a few other buffs and a little bit of debuffing make it possible for a wizard. I dont know many sorcs with bestow curse crushing dispair and other debufs that you can through at the reaver to get his to hit cut by about 12 and dammage down by about 7 add a little bit of armor and shield (i get my wiz up to 44 ac and debuffing his to hit by 12 gives me an equivelent ac of 56 that is not to shaby add displacement and he hardly hits you)

i dont like to interject within a thread, but in this case i am compelled. You guys all seem to know each other so i hope this post will not come off as to much of an intrustion cause i kinda feel like a guy butting into a conversation as I walk by.

That said, ("Here ends the disclaimer" - hehe) I must say that it was so refreshing to read this thread. I hit the forums from time to time and each session ends the same way; I finally can no longer take the hostility and close the window with no desire to return any time soon.

It seems the majority of the forum's content is berating and insulting devoid of common decency in the manner which these people talk about the opinions and ideas expressed by others. (then again maybe i just spend to much time on the marketplace forum)

This thread is none of these things, and I say cudos to the authors. Maybe I will be lucky enough to end up in a group with one or more of you someday.
