Whats up with my name

After a long break I reactivated my account and logged my main to find he has Argonnessen in the middle of his name.. its kinda annoying since i made the toon April last year, and its the same first name/last name combo I have used for every MMO i have played.

Sooo after that little story what gives? :confused:

When Mabar was merged into Argo characters with the same name were rated for age and activeness and the older more active toon kept the name unchanged, and the newer/less active one got the home server tag. You should have a credit in your inventory or something that will allow you to change your name if you want.

The "other" you had to be active within 60 days of the merge, and/or has had the name longer than you in order for you to get stuck with the tag. I haven't seen anything about the Devs taking activity, or lack-thereof, into consideration post-merge though. You have the option to keep the server tag, or log on the character and enter the /changename <new name> command to select another valid name.

Good luck with that. None of my characters got caught on that, but I've always tried to create really unique names. Have you thought maybe of doubling a consonant or something like that?

It's not in his inventory but he will have a name change credit if he wants to use it

Nope unless they do another server merge maybe.

You both are right. Madmardigan quted the first chorus. "Might", in which ff1401 quoted(and it's really "well you just might find"), comes in the second chorus.
