There are a few RP'ers who have decided to try our hand at PvP. We are going to be playing around over the next few weeks seeing what we can do. As part of that, we are looking for some friendly people who might want to learn and play at PvP with us. As we plan times to get together, we are looking for others who may want to try PvP in a non ***hat, non bloated ego manner. We are going to be practicing working as a team and operating in unison with each other, so however many people we can field for a team at any given time, we will be looking for a matching group, obviously up 6. After an hour or so, we will form up a raid party and discuss strategies and all things PvP related as a group. If you are interested in something like this, please post or pm. If you are interested in this just to show us how leet you are, prepare to be walked away from.

Our first foray will be tomorrow evening (Friday) at 11:00pm eastern. There are four of us, so we will be looking for another group of four. Any takers?

Count me in. I haven't PvPed alot, but have had enough fun on occasion to investigate it more. This sounds like a perfect way to get started and learn the ropes with having to live with the frustration of getting killed over and over again.

I am definitely intrigued by the idea.

Citymorg, you goomba, you are one of the four! :p :D

Mizyrlou, if you have 3 friends who want to come along with you, we will be at Hammersmith's at 11pm eastern tonight!

Well, our first evening went well. We didn't have any takers from outside the guild, except for one guy who managed to get in with us in our first death match (knocking one of our planned members out) and proceeded to clean our clocks. He single handedly had half his teams kills, then disappeared off into the wilderness. It was a learning experience though, and by the end of the night we had a full 6 on 6 just from our guild. I don't think any of us are ready for competition yet, but we covered a lot of basics...

I do have two questions though. Is there an easy way to start these deathmatch's, with set teams? The actual entering of the arena seems exceptionally onerous.

Also, is there a minimum to go into deathmatch arena with? We tried to go two on two a few times and could never get the guy to accept our teams.

I will let people know when the next training camp is scheduled, and I may even try to give more notice! :D

Hopefully I'll make the next one. Ended up getting pulled into overtime at work.

When you get your team skills up to par and want a challenge let me know. I can field a team of 4 that will give you a challenge.
Thistles
Team would consist of Me, Baelketh, Rhada, Creedist ;)

Oops...

As I mentioned to the team that I was in, I didn't realize you all had set teams that ya were tryin' ta fight with. Sorry fer kickin' one of yer planned members out... certainly didn't mean anything by it.

On another note, I did learn something new... apparently signups for ALL the different taverns are pooled for matching up teams, as I didn't see any of you in the Wayward Lobster.

In any case, I also posted here to say that if you do ever need one more person and I happen to be on, feel free to send me an invite. I had a fun time in there with ya and would certainly enjoy running with ya some more.

No harm done, it was fun. We were all in the Hammersmith Inn. The UI seems very clunky and difficult to get right.

Yeah, no worries Keres. Everyone is welcome, we just need to figure out how to make it work! Plus, I don't know if you were the one flesh to stoning me, but you were definitely the one fireballing, and it hurt! Part of what we were looking for was a relaxed way to learn the ropes of PvP and you were part of that.

I have been talking with my guild leaders about forming our own PvP group. Possibly forming it with Alts into a mini guild I am calling at this point Y.A.R.K. I myself haven't much luck with PvP, but I am wanting to get better. Perhaps we can do some joint matches together in the near future. Best of luck !

Sounds good Grayleaf. I will post up when we are going to be on again, probably in a week or so.
