Ok, so I am trying to organize a Dragoncon meetup for Saturday 9/1/07.
Please let me know if you plan to attend Dragoncon and would like to join other DDO'ers for a lunch, party or whatever.:D

My wife and I are talking about showing up on Saturday afternoon/evening, but nothing certain yet. Might make it by noonish, or a little later.

I am missing Gen Con due to Army Reserve Obligations. (grrrr)
However, I am planning on being at Dragon Con on Saturday!
Cannot speak for Clankenbeard (hubby IRL), but I will try to talk him coming as many of our guildies in Stormbringers hail from Georgia and Alabama!
Either way, Lessah is coming to Dragon Con... and h___'s coming with me!

I looked on the Dragon Con Site, loads of Star-Trek Actors are going. ((true story, while my husband and I were still dating, we took a trip to Vegas. I made him eat at Quark's TWICE! hahaha! he still married me!))

Well the hubby and I aren't going to con - it's 10 days from my due date (whee!) but we both live in the area so would love to meet up with everyone. Maybe meet up for lunch on Saturday.

There are are quite few resturants within walking distance.
Maybe we should consider making reservations at one for X amount of people.
I have a few local friends that don't frequent the forums that I sure will come with tag along mates.
That would seem to put us at about 10-12 folks.:cool:

Heck yeah, I have been going to DragonCon since 1997 and so far haven't missed a single year this year I will be there with y'all. I will be arriving Thursday around 4pm and I will be at Trader Vics by 10pm come and join me for some Mai Tai goodness. :)

I am a Nationally registgered EMT and board certified Respiratory Therapist, I am Avanced Cardiac Life Support Certified as well as Pediatric Neonatal ((though I think the NALS cert is expired))

LOL Lessah! Now there will be a story to tell the grandkids - well you see, your mother decided to be born in the middle of dragoncon but luckily this girl who likes to play halflings on DDO.. Dungeons and Dragons Online dear, the video game your grandfather and I play, well she was able to deliver your mother and made her indeed the youngest gamer at the con....

I'm planning on attending myself - I've been an infrequent Dragon*Con-er - but I was definately committed to going this year - expect to be there for the whole weekend although I've never been much for costumes.

I really wouldn't mind meeting up at all - might be nice to stumble into some Ghallanders' however.

Tous - I think maybe one night at one of the bars would be a good idea. For those of you who have gone often, do the hotel bars get crazy busy? I am up for Saturday or Sunday night. For those of you actually going to the Con, what would work best for you?

I have been there a few times, but to tell the truth, I don't know my way around by memory.
Parasol bar is in the Hyatt straight back from the peachtree st. entrance (parade comes down peachtree). It is pretty much standing room only. Not sure about the others. Have a feeling they are the same.

I guess we might want to locate it more central. Or maybe off the beaten path to make it easy to locate one another.

Edit: Oh, there is a life size Jabba the Hut in one of the hotels.
