I said I would do it and heres the post. My caster clr solos reaver now. And it looks like my old post about soulkizu, melee, soloed it was lost in the forum movement so I'll repost it here as well. Loot was tenderizer, cloudburst.

congrats although i dont find this impressive with the new found... closes mouth. I think that it would be easier on a cleric especially because self healing etc. If you have a cleric setup for damage too then that just makes it even easier.

Kudos,

I tried it on Blooe a few times, but couldn't make the jump. Grats anyway.

Yes it is easier to LIVE but its much hard to dps and crowd control while still healing due to the lack of a DoT and max or empower spells gets expensive on a clr due to lack of the discount enhancements. First 4 runs I would kill him with only 30 secs left. A Battle clr would be so much easier :(

It's also possible that other toons where present during the raid to draw aggro, allow spell charging, kiting reaver and bringing his HP down to a managable level etc... so long as only the cleric did all the killing and they left at the end.

Just a skeptical thought. Congrats though!

I soloed Soul's Sister on Elite.

Then on Hard and Normal for the XP Bonus. Then I took a nap.

PS I am still looking for +3 WIS and DEX tomes....

He did one of two things:

1: Got his charge, and proceeded to drop Big BB down. Drag the reaver through these until he is at an easy killing point. Maintain charge, get fly, and finish him off.

2: Get charge, use destruction and banishment to keep away ellies. Use searing light to pull reaver down throughout the fight. Get fly, pull lever, get new charge, blow his head off and profit.

The concept is simple though actually pulling it off is not. Good job man. I hope to solo him with my battle bard in the near future.

Fraps. SS of Xp report doesn't do anything for me, easily forged.True, that'd work. As much as I like to watch people work their magic in solo conquests, I'm just as happy accepting claims of successful pursuits without indisputable proof.

True, that'd work. As much as I like to watch people work their magic in solo conquests, I'm just as happy accepting claims of successful pursuits without indisputable proof.

Why do "successful pursuits" need to be publically claimed AT ALL?

Your answer to this simple question will also give you the answer as to whether "indisputable proof" is reall necessary. Necessary for WHAT? An un-necessary claim?

This strange wave of boasting only spotlights the posters as claiming to be "elite" raiders...and implies that everybody who is not this "elite" are, in fact, no-bodies. Now, we settled this issue, on Riedra, long ago...is another round of pure sarcasm going to be necessary here as well?

Why do "successful pursuits" need to be publically claimed AT ALL?Because there is no alternative method for others to know? Because part of being a community is sharing news? Compare it to real life: people send you notices that they got married/had kids/bought a house... heck, they often send a "screenshot" (lol) as proof of their claim. People like to hear what is going on in their community, and enjoy having the opportunity to congratulate others on their accomplishments.

In general, people make posts like this because they are proud of their accomplishments, not because they want to say "look at how much better than you I am".

Your answer to this simple question will also give you the answer as to whether "indisputable proof" is reall necessary. Necessary for WHAT? An un-necessary claim? As I stated in the text that you quoted in your post, I don't need indisputable proof. If my cousin calls me and says he graduated from college, I don't require that he send me a copy of his diploma. I certainly am not going to require it for a video game.

This strange wave of boasting only spotlights the posters as claiming to be "elite" raiders...and implies that everybody who is not this "elite" are, in fact, no-bodies.Did you buy Tom Smykowski's (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Office_Space#Tom_Smykowski) mat? I heard it was going to be a big seller, but didn't know it had gone to market already.

Now, we settled this issue, on Riedra, long ago...is another round of pure sarcasm going to be necessary here as well?Well, some of us settled the issue. Others are still working at it like a dog on a bone.

Goolan, we all know that you don't like others making posts that they have accomplished things. None of us care. You have this illusion that you're defending the little man, that you're a bastion of the community... in reality, you're just a little troll with delusions of grandeur, living off a policy of seagull posting (swoop in, make a lot of noise, **** over everything, then leave).

If you don't like threads like this, don't read them.

Soul-Shaker

I dont really care if some of you dont believe me. I dont need to prove anything really. I know the many that I play with believe me without question because its pointless and waste of time to lie. My clr will be soloing it from now on and will work her way up to elite completion since that was the first time I completed it ever with that toon it was on norm. I did not really post this as bragging, but more happy that its been done and to show that not only a sorc or wiz can do it along with I liked the challenge. Next maybe my gimp batman but I doubt it.

You, on the otherhand, are the champion of the elitist snobs. Your insatiable appetite for attention is pathetic...bordering on psychotic. You like to post about your accomplishments, well: None of us care.

I respond to posts that I don't like, because I would NEVER originate a post of this type. If you don't like my replies, then just don't read them.

But then, I suspect that you are constitutionally incapble of NOT replying to this (see the above psychotic reference).

Wow, you really proved your point there, Goolan. Where did you find this strategy, at the bottom of an email forward?

You're really quite a piece of work.

Straight cleric - bandicoot gets to about what you said kill the guy and switch pulled but only 30 sec left to do puzzle isnt enough

I only have maximized and you cant get idiot boy to move around through the BB very easily....

I speced out khopesh and ICS to get maximize and realized teh 60-90 a swing would have been better for DPS than the buff and max comet, fs, dv, and sl

I fully expect Dockk to be a true battle cleric to do it some point

This is exactly what this game needs people that solo Raids which are meant for 12 people. You're missing the whole point of D&D. D&D is meant to be a group thing, meant to match different people of different classes to complete a quest.

This Uberness is ridiculous.

We have no problem with people challenging themselves. The problem arises when people feel the insecure need to BRAG about every little thing they do. THAT'S when it starts to get pathetic.

We had a whole guild full of braggers, back on Riedra, and look where it got them!

i'm not trying to criticize you but in case you didn't notice this is definitely not D&D it has the base of D&D but it is not. this is an MMO imitation of D&D with the foundation of the original game, but as all MMO's go and expand into vast never ending adventuring playing zones where things become distorted and fades away from the basis of the program while different cliques form within the game with different players as they do in schools where people do different things, you shouldn't let the accomplishments of someone else bother you, it's not as if it hinders your playing.

no you and turbine are missing the whole point by making something that should require 12 people and only get reward for 2 is what makes people focus more on soloing.
Most the time its not for uberness, its just to make sure you get something especially since alot of the time the **** drops that nobody can use or wants.

gratz soul!!! for those of you that haven't ever grouped with soul, the running joke with all of us that know him is that, the rest of us in the group can eat bon bons at the entrance of most quests while soul completes the thing himself, he's that good. He also isn't big headed, he isn't a show off, in fact he's so shy he almost never talks in a group! I love posts like this because it gives us ideas on what is possible, because it is fun to try achievements like this!

you guys who claim soul is bragging or lying is simply inane. he is about the least
elitist of anyone i know especialy for the mass amount of elite skill he has. as for lying everyone who knows him knows he has the ability.
he is just showing that it can be done with ranger or cleric just not a caster. and thats the facts mam plain and simple theres no alterior motives

now you know it can be done

you people from the others servers dont know soul but us khyborians know him well enough he doesnt need to lie or show off. even if that was his bag.

altho his looting technique does need work lol

Why stone the lucky guy? There are a few people around who interpret everything as elitist. One of our common offenders from Khyber recently appeared to assert that founder status was something akin to elitisim.
