lag issue

Since a couple of weeks my lag has dramatically increase. But it's worst since august 13th patch.

i was wondering he anyone could help me figure out what may be the problem.

the odd thing is that i ran a tracert to gls.ddo.com and i got only stars (*). All 30 hops. But i can log into the game anyway and play, i just have serious lag. Even when alone in an instance. My FPS is good when i dont move (60-80) but if i look around, it get worse.

I tried decreasing graphic options, but nothing change, except that my FPS increase to 100. Still, as soon as i move it get really choppy.

I also tried connecting directly to my modem (bypassing the router) but it doesnt change the tracert (although i havent try in-game... should i?)

So, if anyone has any clue besides calling my ISP (they are not really helpful), any help will be appreciated.

Do you have a firewall or antivirus program running? If so you may need to reconfigure those.

firewall and anti-virus should be ok.

although i still have only stars on the tracert, im back to normal in-game (well, pre patch normal).

Might have been something on my ISP side. Will post update if things change.

Many ISP's may block your tracert and pings. Its quite common.
