Very interesting, and also a wee bit disappointing. Seeing as how a nice extended blur will last through the duration of many quests or at the very least halfway through, that sort of dampens the *dusk* portion of the ring. Not that it still isn't a very attractive ring.

Anyway, glad you cleared the air. Not that I was ever a doubter. ;)

I don't think he's saying that he necessarily pulled one. He's saying that the Ring of Sadows provides only 10% concealment, as opposed to Blur (20%) and Displacement (50%).
