wizardry VI helm

what would be considered equal trade value for a helm of wizardry 6 that has no restrictions but min lvl 13 to wear it?
i know certain items mean more to some toons over others but generally speaking, what other items would be classified in the same "worth" category for this item.

There aren't many single items that come close to that.
It can fetch 20 scales, multiple "Big 5" items or someone's first born.

More importantly, double bonus for sorcs, that is 300 spell points...as opposed to the 200 you would get from a magi item.

That and +5 Mith FP are the most saught after items in the game right now. Do not except less than three very good items for it. I have two, a helm and a ring, and if someone wants it, they will pay for it. Here is an offer I have of one of mine now, that I am still debating.

i not sure if i am going to sell/trade it yet. i do have a lvl 9 sorc i'm bringing up, but i was curious as to what out there would be considered an equivalent trade item for it. my sorc is a drow with maxed cha at every feat and will get 300 sp from the helm, but I was wondering if there were other items that might be able to help my sorc out in a dfferent manner than adding to sp.
i pulled the helm from cruc but I'm not really sure what chest, we did a few loot runs in there and other gh stuff. i pulled two tomes from pop the same night, one from a chest and one end reward. i've gotten **** since (2 weeks ago) . when it rains it pours...

items i do need str. 6 and cha. 6 items
and vorpal kopesh, vorpal great axe, delving goggles and a new porsche :)

Hold out for the new Porsche. Like the Porsche, accept no substitutes for a wiz VI item. It's beyond gold. In other words, don't trade it and use it for your Sorcerer.

As Soon as I looted my Wizardry VI Helm, I rolled up a sorcerer 10 mins later. A sorcerer with 2000+ sp?!?! VERY MUCH worth the time of building up a new sorc. Even if i had to delete one of my capped toons to do it :o


I looted mine from Prison of the Planes, as an end reward. It was not a +1 loot weekend. Since then, i've pulled exceedingly rare items since then, as if the gods of Eberron were rewarding their faithfull sheep :D

you guys won't believe this but i pulled a second wizardry helm VI this time it came as an end reward from POP. this one is rr human and has underwater action on it.
just to update, seeing i pulled two i put the non rr helm on the AH and got 17 million gp for it. I posted it for 15 mill gp with a 20 mill buyout. you may have seen it there the last few days. i bought one of the items i was looking for (+6 con belt) and have plenty of cash left over to buy the cloak +6 cha if it shows up on AH.
i seem to have this uncanny luck where i will get literally nothing for loot for a month then over the coarse of 2 days i get great loot. unfortunately im back on the loot drought again :(

I would argue that spell points are nice, but they're not the end of the world. Frankly, a capped Sorceror is going to come in at 1600-1800 Spell Points anyways and the tiniest bit of mana conservation (which most sorcerors seem to lack, you know who you are :) :) :) ) is going to leave this item irrelevant.

For me, the premium thing on many characters is having a slot available for equipment.

I'm just saying, it's a nice item - when the cap goes up, it's going to be run of the mill. Don't let it go unless you get something really nice - that you definately can use immediately - and consider asking for multiple items, definately. So, if you're going to trade it, do it well before the cap goes up (which is apparently next year).

Even when the cap goes up, I doubt we'll see a sudden surge of Wiz IV Items overnight. That item is going to maintain its value for several months. I think we'll see Wiz V's becoming more common, but not the VI's.
