And I dont buy into the whole "let people play however they want to play, it's funner that way" - that's a whole other matter. I'm not trying to fuss of build specifics, I'm talking about people who are bad team players, because the way I want to play, which is the way I find funner, means having nothing to do with people like that. If more people try to enforce cooperation a little more firmly, poor fools like that will find themselves wanting to work with the group effectively, and not being left out of more and more parties.

Absolutely.

Just have to remember, it takes time to modify our /squelch list and guild warning lists. Lots more people thrown into the mix now. Eventually they will find themselves in fewer and fewer groups and perhaps then change their ways.

It doesn't matter if you're a roll player or a power gamer. You still need to work with the team. The simple solution to this matter is, ask the person who put up the LFM which type of party it is, and if you're not willing to participate in that, keep looking.

Most of us prefer a fast-paced power run. We have little to no tolerance for repeated displays of ignorance and poor team play. If the leader asks the group if everyone is familiar with this quest, and you're not, speak up! There will be less pain for everyone involved if they know they have to watch out for you a bit than if you feign knowledge and then are the one to throw a hammer down the hallway full of beholders. Also, if you're not familiar with the quest, for the love of party wipes, stop running off and doing things on your own. Listen to the party and follow along.

I didn't play on beta, I wasn't there for head-start. I was taking a lovely all-expenses paid tour of Southwest Asia and the Middle East. However, I got along fine on Xoriat when I started playing with one simple strategy. "Hey guys, I've only been playing a week and I've never done this quest. What are the best spells for me to mem?" And guess what, the party leaders appreciated knowing in advance and we all knocked the quest out.

It's that simple.

I have absolutely nothing to add, but a question

How did you ninja a post/reply when there are no other posts here? That is impressive.

I have been with the game for a while now and I have run almost every quest multiple times. I had to leave for awhile and then I came back.

The first party invite I got was to do a BtG loot run. First thing I asked was what spells I needed to bring. Everyone should be informed and ask questions before ****ing off a party. Especially with some of us senior players, once you get on our do not group list you are done forever.

I find this all almost funny.

Having fun with the game does not include having to tolerate players who don't fit your play style. If you can tolerate them do, but if their play style gives you gas. Then by all means dump them or the group which ever is easier and move on.

As far as I'm concerned part of having fun is finding a group that you can have fun with. If I just want to run dungeons and kill mob on my own I'll go play NWN2, Oblivion, or any other stand alone FRPG that I have. Part of DDO is being in a group and if someone ruins that part for me then the game is not fun. I tend to be a very tolerant player, my DNG list is very short (maybe 2 charaters), of course maybe I'm on alot of others DNG lists I don't know. I never seem to have any extra trouble finding a group so that list can't be to long....(yet:) )

Anyway have fun and remeber it is "just a game".:D
