I know other posts have said this many time, but here goes. Dear Devs..
1) Will the Tomb of * Quests in the Necropolis be pre-reqs for anything in the Orchard of the Macabre?
I ask because.. well, let me share a vignette. Last night I was favor grinding with some other 14s, and our group leader said.. "Well, Necropolis is next on my list." Silence fell.
After a while someone said "Let's go do the Pit on elite instead." and we were all relieved.
It takes a long time, it's full of undead on long map puzzles, and the xp and loot are not attractive. At least - no one I know who doesn't need favor wants to go there.
2) My quick fix for the Necropolis is simple: double the XP for the quests. They still wouldn't be the destination for quick pick-up groups, but it will feel a lot better when you do run it.

Yes, please please please up the xp for the Necropolis parts 1+2. They're way too low for their level and loot is abysmal for that level as well. A simple increase in xp I think would do wonders to get people running those quests at least once while leveling up.

1) Stab my own eyes out.
2) Stab someone elses eyes out.
3) The Pit on Elite
4) Lead a bunch of newbies through the desert for explorer.
5) Walk barefoot over broken glass.
6) Be the cleric in a truly horrible Pug.
7) Spend ways to figure out how I can ignore the favor those quests offer while still getting to 1750.
and so on.
The quests are a drag. Few people run them at appropriate levels because the loot is a joke, the xp is terrible and honestly most folks I know find them aggravating.
With loot and Xp levels for those quests set as they are they will continue to be "I'll run them for favor" quests.
So please devs, my guildies need the favor. Please stop me from hurting myself or them(see points one and two.)

Actually I'd say quick and easy fix:
1. Triple the XP
2. Increase all chest loot tables by +2
3. Revamp the end rewards to the same as one of the GH Quests.
4. 50% increase in favor.
Feel free to increase the level of the quest to 13 if you like when you do this. No change needed the actual mobs in the quest.

Hey Xan, want to run the Necropolis quests tonight? :D

Just imagine if the new quests' level appropriateness is calculated using the same formula used to calculate on LOTD 1 & 2, we will be clamoring for a level cap increase just to survive.
I did all 10 with my cleric for favor, I'll do all 10 with my other characters for favor (eventually and begrudgingly). Went in with a favor group a week or so ago with the intention of doing all four of the LOTD 2 quests. After the first one was finished, over an hour later and what, 2K XP?, the group decided one was enough and quickly went their separate ways. My two guildies who really need the favor (still working toward 1750) haven't mentioned them since. I'm not about to bring them up.

They have those stupid requirements for X number of players, so you can't even solo them if you're feeling masochistic/desperate for favor. So good luck getting a group.

I agree. I actualy like those quests, but I too get tired of them when trying to go through all of them in sequence. There are just too many of them and they are too similar and the rewards are too poor.
Delera's tomb is both easier and far more rewarding, even with Saint Garry scratching through the naration.
I do the Necro quests, but I'm only in the mood to do them when I'm helping others do them, and even then I like to break it up into 2 quest runs over a week or more.

I have done the first 4 quests of the series on normal and hard solo, with my wizard because well fire is your friend :-).. and I just did Shadow Knight on elite the other day for favor.. I died twice.. stupid traps.. anyways I found the quest entertaining and difficult.. though the xp did suck to say the least.. glad I was capped.. anywho the loot was just fine.. got a set of +3 Mith FP with Remove Fear clickie.. looks nice too.. black and purple. Course I will never ever do that quest again :-)... they are all more pain than worth it.. same reason I haven't done a few house J quests on elite.. too too silly without much reward.

Ugh, the necropolis. What can one even say about these quests? They are terrible beyond comprehension.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a DDO hater. I love VON5, I think the Cerulean Hills are sweet. I don't even mind Caravan on elite.
But the Necropolis quests are... terrible. I didn't even do them when griding to 1750 favor. It was FAR easier to get people to do Offering of Blood on elite! Oy!
The only quest that might be worse is the Dryden Family Tomb one if yer running at appropriate level. Turn on auto-attack, stand in door. Watch television and occasionally hit tab.

I'll say this, the quests are not level appropritinate. The xp and loot are disappointing.
BUT, the quest look great. The underwater swimming in one is a pain but to me the graphics are phenomenal - love the ancient ruins motif. I also like the puzzle of the ceiling lever in another.
The re-spawns take away from the enjoyment.
And I think this is a problem that takes away from many quests but stands out in necropolis. Because people want to finish so fast, no one looks around. Because the mapping stinks, people get frustrated because they don't want to explore - they just want to get done.
The "reward" of exquisite graphics and settings seen nowhere else in the game is not enough. People get tired (quickly) of death xp, poor xp, poor end rewards, and poor chest loot.
