Great survivability, but where is your damage coming from. I tried a finesse version and re-rolled to a str-based dwarven version. Improved TWF alone doesn't bring the damage that I like.
For me a big part of the damage comes from being able to stand in your own firewall or cloud kill swinging away with a greataxe hitting for 35-50 with each hit on top of the firewall damage.
As a finessible version you could swing wounders of puncturing while dancing in your own cloudkill, but with only 8 sorc levels thats out of reach.
I love these builds I am just not seeing where your damage would come from to warrant replacing a regular mundane barbarian.
EDIT: After thinking it over I assume you are using racial enhancements and the appropriate weapons, but does that put out the elite type damage needed. I am just curious what your typical battles play out like (what weapons you use...etc).
I would recommend scrolling stoneskin and taking firewall as your level 4 spell, but if I wasn't going to go with firewall and scorching ray and I wanted to be a TWF maniac with lots of buffs for me and the party why not go the route of?
1Rogue/2Pally/11Ranger
Pros:
UMD up to a 38
Not reliant on divine power clickies for bab
Divine Grace with saves about the same (30ish)
Greater TWF
Many Shot
Precise Shot and Improved Precise Shot
Ranger Buffs
Able to take Power Attack to help with overcoming -dr
Cons:
No haste spell
No sheild spell
No displacement spell
You cant really call yourself a battle mage.

This guy isn't necessarily a primary DPS tank, he is just a fun, survivable character to play. I may or may not decide to reroll as a strength-based version. With strength based though, I would have to forego several points of to-hit, since my to-hit is dex based on this guy and I have racial and class enhancements to the stat.
Actually....at the moment I'm slightly confused why my dex is so low.
19 Base + 2 Elf +1 Rogue +5 item +1 tome comes to 28 dex, and I spent all three of stat advances as I leveled up in dexterity. I'm starting to wonder if my character is bugged and isn't showing those points
Really I only lose 4 damage per swing, which I guess can add up when twf but whatever. This guy was never meant to be "uber," he was primarily rolled to be a new and different idea to toy with.
Can anybody help me figure out why it seems like my points spent in dex at levels 4, 8 and 12 don't seem to be showing?

oh yeah and commenting on your build, I like it but I wanted this guy to self buff almost entirely from mana, and only scroll things like GH or TS.
He also was originally designed as a sword-board finesse fighter using power attack and was only recently changed into a twf character. There are a few kinks that this change brings and I'm working with them.

Playing with the stat calculator it appears that you would had to start with a dex of 16, and then put all you level up stats in dex bringing it to a 19, so then the math is correct.
16 +3level +3enhancement +1tomb +5item=28

Yeah I probably did :) Gosh it's been a long time since I rolled him up....my memory is fading.
Edited the OP to reflect actual numbers.

I went the route of twf with my first version, with the plan of dual wielding greater banes, or vorpals, but I like the damage from 2hf and power attack too much to give it up. I ended up switching over to the dwarf version I posted under Rent's thread.

Either way you roll it, they are fun builds to play.
Most of the people I play with have all their spots filled with capped or almost capped characters which means I will be doing some pugging to get my version capped. With that is mind I wanted to make sure I maximized his potential in a pug.

I actually do pretty good damage as long as I can fight rogue-style, where I get backstabs. I just need one good DPS tank and I'm covered. Illusionary can gain alot of attention from mobs though, and come out relatively unharmed. A common tactic for me is to jump wildly into a mob and start swinging away, gaining as much aggro as I can. While I hold aggro, the group mage can hit them with a dancing ball, mass hold person, or blow them up with a maximized fireball.
When level cap gets boosted to 16, I have no idea what class I want to take. I'd love to get rage as a spell, but I also think an extra pally spell and BAB would be nice, but another 1d6 on my backstabs would also be attractive. Hrmph. Decisions....at least it's not for a while.

I would take sorcerer and use divine power clickies for the tough to hit mobs. I still think it would be fun to dual wield wounders of punctering while fighting in your own cloud kill.

It would be fun. The thing is, I have seen 1 wounding of puncturing rapier looted in my entire DDO career, and 1 dagger. I prefer to use rapiers and shortswords, for enhancement reasons. I looted neither of the WP weapons, and I doubt I can get my hands on them. :(

I have never seen a wounding rapier of puncturing..lol. I did get a wounding dagger of puncturing from pop a couple of weeks ago.
Even with your build I would want to get to sorcerer 11.
30-Point Resists=Sorcerer level 11
3rd Scorching Ray=Sorcerer level 11
One of the draws of playing a battle mage is the fact that you can still dish out major damage from the fire line of spells with firewall and scorching ray.

Ohhh yeah...now I remember why I had chose sorc a few weeks ago. LOL. Rage and 30 pt resists...silly me.

I am hoping to replace the chaosguards on this character with the Bracers of the Demon's Consort, but I'll have to get lucky. I think it will be a great idea.
