And...although your Banishing Rapier is nice, you will have a hard time trading it for a slashing Banisher, as they do not exist in game...yet.

If any of you were here at the start of the game, and were able to run old prenerf south, you might have seen a few slashing banishers drop, because they did for a few weeks. While they don't drop anymore, some folks do have them.

Well, there was atleast one such weapon about at one time, as the fellow who looted it was kind enough to show it to me in the trade window when we were discussing a trade for it. If you don't care to believe in their existance, that's up to you bud. It's of little consequence to me.

In the meantime, I leave that trade on my list "in case".

As far as our trading is concerned though Delixious, I'm afraid nothing on your list interests me. Sorry bud :/. To be totally blunt, I can be a bit of a pain in the arse to trade with sometimes since there is so very little I have need of.

*edit* And yes, I was around old pre-nerf south yadda yadda snick-snack...so far every time somebody has claimed to have seen a banishing slasher, the rumor was debunked by the individual that supposedly owned the weapon. It has been a banishing rapier every time.

If you want a banishing slasher, you can get one now. A very nice Retribution on steriods + banishing drops out of the new raid.

Aspen, I already went over that above - if you care too feel free to review. Don't feel the need to go over it again myself. Some folks just need to see the lion with their own eyes to believe such a thing could exist, and there's nothing wrong with that. I might offer the humble suggestion that there is little need to tell a man that what he has seen cannot be because you yourself have not seen the same, however.

All I really need to assert that there are no banishing slashers in DDO is the word of Davey Crockett, and he's already stated they don't exist. If it's uber, Davey doesn't have one, it doesn't exist. It's hard to explain, and I can't really explain it here. :cool: Maybe in PMs, but not here.

and if by some bugged out possibility that one has spawned at some point...wouldn't this make it so exceedingly rare and valuable (and also, by the way, extremely damaged....) that it would be pointless to try to trade for?? Meh...sorry for spamming your trade thread, it's just an interesting topic for me. (hey, I'll give you free bumps all day to talk about it :))

Especially now with the UMD change, the RR aren't the best stuff anymore, less you can keep a high level. The old Anarchy Online tactics of buff and eqiup don't quite work anymore =/
