Best way to update after hard drive death?

My gaming rig died, sigh (this is my art rig)
I may not be able to get data off my original drive...if so, what's best way to download/update etc DDO?

See, I've got an odd situation:
I'm in UK, pal bought me a copy of DDO, sent me the key in email, but the game box got lost in mail, meh, so he se tme HIS game box (as he'd stopped playing). So I've got an original release special edition disc that is not my key.
-Ah the perils of wanting to play with American pals :)

So, should I download the trial version and, log in with my account or what??? *puzzled*

I would just re-download the trial. It may be the easiest way to do it

my C drive MAYBE working, too ill nowadays to do a full "bug hunt" on systems, sigh, so just bought new PC, sod it (old one was 3 years old) ;)
