Unreal. Gol, so much was lost my friend....
This is simply me showing some support to all the players who lost something during the great purge of 7/29/07.
Do I get credit for coining that phrase? :D
I'm done posting builds. If they roll out the new raid loot mechanic I'm done with raiding. I'm done with my noobs because I'm not going to spend the required hours to redesign the builds. That doesn't leave a whole lot left for me to do :(
Likelihood of taking a break till mod 6? Too high to admit to myself :(

I love ddo and I enjoy it a lot but, seriously, the AI is just a joke. I'm sure some major improvements to AI should make a huge difference.

since, so many American jobs are already outsourced, i was thinking that Turbine could hire some of the foreign gold-farmers (or even American ones) to control the raid bosses & mini-bosses because the Turbine AI is so **** lame
just a thought to get some people employed and to make the game a little more challenging

I'm actually pretty miffed too. They lost my sorceror's build guide.

I wonder how many builds you lost in the purge. Probably none.

Question: Were only server forum posts lost or were general forums(e.g. class discussion, game guides, development) lost too? You should know Turbine well enough by now and make backups on your computer. That is if fictional character builds for an MMO mean so much to you. And I'm not trying to be sarcastic.

just make new builds, stop crying.

I've defended TF long enough. I've even tried to help your image by sending very constructive criticism to TF officers. I think I'm done with that.
/me jumps on the anti-TF bandwagon.
All posts within a 2 month timeframe.
4/1-8/1. 7/29. Closer to 4 months. Aka anything useful in the class forums that had been posted or posted to in that time frame.

However, if there were ever a new "most-obnoxious award," I'm betting dollars to donuts a certain face might win on Argo.

I couldn't care less about it. People should make their own builds anyway IMO.

And that is indeed YOUR opinion. Take M:tG for example.. Sure, everyone should build their own decks, but to be tournament-ready, you better have some idea of the metagame that exists within M:tG, and there is no better way to familiarize yourself with that then to delve into the art of deck-building. Working with other people, sharing ideas/combos/etc that work well. Your knowledge of the game increases greatly the more study that you put into the deck-building metagame.
The absolute same applies to DDO. These players have tried more builds than your guild have played. They have looked at every option, and do everything that they can to maximize the performance of a build by creating it for efficiency and performance. To them, that is the enjoyment of the game. They don't criticize you for playing a 'broken' build such as a 10 fighter/4 rogue, so don't criticize them for exploring all realms of the metagame.
No matter what your work or efforts entail, I have to assume that you would be a little irked if that work just disappeared. The validity of the work is not for you or anyone else to gauge.

I have to echo Davey's sentiments
One of the main purposes of these boards is to share experiences of the game.
This includes builds. It's a real shame that Turbine lost all this creative work that many people have spent countless hours experimenting and researching to perfect these builds.

Wait a second!
Just hold on!!! Oh, 10 fighter 4 rogue. Ohhhh... Phew.
For a second (I just woke up) I thought you were saying dear Thet was broken. He is most certainly not! Then again, he's 4 fighter 10 rogue.
Ohhh.....
He sighs with relief, knowing all is right again in his own little world inside a dusty skull cap...

I dont post builds, but I love reading other peoples.
And like others have said it doesnt matter what yer opinion of builders/builds is, it is people putting time and effort into a game that we all play and you should respect that. You should be grateful that these people find the time and enthusiasm to do something constructive for the game that we all play...rather than coming here and giving your 'opinion' which, quite frankly, is a crock of ****.......unnecessary, unrequested. Your 'feedback" on this post is nothing short of absolute childishness and unconstructive. Please, crawl back to your hole...
Now, didnt Samera or Q say that the posts that disappeared would be found in time? Does anyone actually believe that?
Here's a HUGE tinfoil hat moment....Were the post deleted on purpose? To get rid of something/some things that they dont want hanging around?
Hmmm...*slowly backs away while reaching in his back pocket for tinfoil hat*

Its no ones place to say another toon is broken. Unless you are 5 or are in elementary school, there is a reason for every build, wether you want to take pride in your build and make it the way you want and think it should be, by all means do it, on the other side you can copy someones build, play like a robot like your character is made of fate. Or you can do a little of both have your character undecided on wether its belief is fate, or if it actually makes its own choices. Then theres the question that you might ask after reading this, does your toon have a brain ? Everyones toon is broke somehow.....evasion tanks: they may have evasion great saves.....but they cant hit elite boss's worth **** and they get beat down like a guy with crack at a snoop dogg concert. 14 human clr has no sr....straight lvl 14 ftrs get held all the time. Barbarians take damage out the ***. Bottom line, saying someones build is broken is like saying something is perfect.

1 - I don't give a **** if I'm agreed with
2 - I didn't say it was broken. I put the word in quotes because the people that do the builds for a 'living' may view that unconventional build as broken because it is not streamlined to their liking. Guess you missed the point there. I don't judge builds I judge players, which is why I got ****ed off when that schmuck started talking about my build in the argonauts guild.
