Thinking about rolling a 32 point human ranger all the way.
The purpose of this ranger is to be able to ranged attack, TWF and sword and board if the need be.
Skills maxed out will be Heal, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Search and Spot.
Starting Stats are: 16 Str/Dex, 14 Wis/Con, 8 Int/Cha
Ending Stats are: 28 Str/Dex, 20 Wis/Con, 8 Int/Cha
My question and looking for help is regarding feats...
At lvl 9 I am taking improved crit ranged
At lvl 12 I am taking improved crit slashing
I have 4 other feats to use and I was think of taking Dodge, Mobility, Shot on the Run and Spring Attack but I am not sure if these are worth while or would be better used as something else.
If you have a ranger that you love and use, please comment on your build and why you like.
Thanks.

In order to qualify for Shot on the Run, you need Point Blank Shot, Dodge and Mobility. You only need Dodge and Mobility to qualify for Spring Attack.
My main character is a pure Elven Ranger that I've played since Headstart. He is specced out as a Ranged/Weapon Finesse Ranger. He has Shot on the Run, since at the time he was created, you couldn't move and shoot as you can today (today Shot on the Run eliminates the -4 penalty to moving while attacking Ranged, much like Spring Attack negates the -4 penalty to Meleeing on the move).
I don't think Shot on the Run is as necessary today as it was in the past. I don't plan on swapping it out on my Ranger, but there are many Rangers today that don't bother with it. I'm even toying with the idea of rerolling my Human Ranger/Rogue as a 32-pt build and dropping Shot on the Run and Point Blank Shot for other feats (probably Iron Will and Toughness).

my ranger is similar to what you want to do with yours.. check the link for Cassis..
I don't have shot on the run so no comment about that.. I decided for toughness feats cause in the late game I found my only real problem was taking a hit.. no matter what you get your AC to you will get hit just make sure you can take it.. (granted I only have a 16 con with my cap'd ranger)
I usually twf with my ranger while falling back on sword n board when I start taking to much damage or am tanking for da group.. Range is pulled out for big damage utilizing multi shot..
deffinatly get the imp critical feats though.

I have a ranger with SOTR, and because I use bows I find it very useful, tho it is expensive featwise. The big advantage in melee is the progressive bonuses per swing while ranged user does not (grumble grumble).
As was said you can now shoot and run without the feat. It all depends on how much you will use your bows. If your going to kill say the white dragon with a bow that -4 to hit can be huge. If you run with an imtimatank and 2 weapon fight alot the feats could be better spent else where.

I'm not a big fan of the search skill for rangers... It just doesn't seem to serve much purpose for them.

Don't shy away from Mental Toughness, Improved Mental Toughness, as well as Extend Spell. You get lots of good spells as a level 14 Ranger. Make sure you can buff yourself and other members of your party sufficiently. You might not be able to get all 3 in, but I'd at least go for Extend and MT. 28 minute resists, protects, jump, freedom of movement, and barkskin at end game are nice.

I would replace Search with Listen honestly. They're making changes to the way Listen works (meaning making it work better/the way it's intended to work). With the proliferation of Detect Secret Door clickies, hidden doors are never hidden for long. Also, if you're needed to find trapboxes for the rogue, odds are he's not going to be able to disarm it anyway. ;)
I'm not a huge fan of the SotR chain honestly. I feel the feats can be better spent elsewhere. That said though, you're not going with a 32+ DEX elf/halfling build, so you may need the SotR to make up the difference to-hit that these races have inherently.
Iron Will is a nice feat for Rangers since it helps to shore up their only weak saving throw. If you like a robust SP bar, Mental Toughness is another nice feat. Extend is decent, but with an increase in the amount of dispelling that happens in quests, it's not that crucial; you'll end up needing to recast anyway and if you're dishing out resists to the party, I'm sure the cleric will be more than happy to toss a DV or two your way.

Sadly, the Extendabuff Ranger is a thing of the past. :(
