I got out there once near realease by mistake, due to some glitch in logging in/out. Due to it being a glitch, explaning how it happened is probably against the rules though. I didn't get to explore much though as where I ended up either had some invisible walls keeping me from moving further or the cliff faces couldnt be traversed.

I don't know what the stance of Turbine is on this kind of thing though, but WoW also had similar areas, that would get people banned for either intentionally getting into them or posting pics of them. Usually though that was in regards to new areas being worked on that had not been populated yet. Found a couple there too once, but didn't publically post the pictures then.

Ive been out there and actually ran all the way to the mountains in the background. It seems as though they never get closer but they do. I ran length wise at the base of the mountains out there but never found anything. LOL, I was actually hoping to find some wicked, hidden chest that had all of my hearts desires. I gave up after an hour or so.

interesting...I ran for quite a while out there and never saw those particuolar landmarks...which server were you on, perhaps the outsides are different on each one?
