I think the title explains it all, but just in case. What does this spell do, the explanation kinda sucks a little.

" Prevents one ally per caster level from rising as undead. Certain rare, extremely powerful undead can circumvent this protection."

At higher levels, when your allies die, do the rise from the dead and attack you? Because it sounds like this spell protects you from that

Yes, when you are killed by a wraith another wraith rises up from your body.

When you are hit by a wraith, there is a chance that you will be hit with their ability to cause another wraith to spawn from your corpse if you die. When this opportunity occurs you will see a small icon by your buff icons, showing a counter counting down how long this affects you. If you die before the counter hits 0 you will spawn into a wraith and attack your party members.

Spawn screen is simply the buff the negates this ability from being able to affect you, just as deathward blocks the ability of instant death spells being able to affect you. Its a very situational spell, and so far I have never seen it used or been in a situation where it was needed. However, with its recent introduction and the new series of upper level content soon to come, I forsee that it may have a very good use in the near future.

This spell should not be necessary for warforged. It is not possible to make undead out of them as is.

Also, if you're hit by a Spectre, and then killed, your dead body will spawn a spectre. I think the same may apply to Shadow's as well, but I'm not certain on that. It's mostly the ghostly undead that do this.

As said, spawn screen prevents that.

The part about "high level undead bypassing it" probably means that red, or maybe just purple named mobs will bypass it.

I remember a dev making a comment that raid bosses can bypass it so probably just purple names.
