2 questions here

1. Acording to the SRD(not always the same as DDO I know) a wiz bab at lvl12 is +6, and a fighter at lvl2 is +2, so a M/C fgt2/wiz12 would be at +8 in DDO, correct?

2. So a wiz12/fgt2, at lvl14(taking the second fighter lvl at 14) may then take improved crit, or would I have to wait till lvl15?
(I seem to remember taking Imp. crit at 8 on my fighter, but I'm not at home to check)

Yes, You will have an 8 BAB

You can take a feat that requires a specific BAB, at the same level you obtain the required BAB (providing of course it is a level that you can take a feat)

So yes, at level 14, you will be able to take Imp Crit (if you take 2nd level Fighter at that level)
