I have a rogue with one level of fighter. Currently I'm wearing mithril chain+2 shirt. Just pulled +2 full plate. I'd like to switch out the shirt to my wiz when she levels and takes Arcane fluidity.
What will be the consequence to the rogue's skills when wearing standard plate? I'm specifically concerened about trap monkey skills?

Most armor types have an armor check penalty (ACP). The ACP impacts particular skills...Balance, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Tumble, and Swim (double for swim). Thus, no, the armor doesn't impact your trap monkey skills (spot, search, open lock, disable device).
Hope this helps!

But it will stop you from using Evasion if you take more than one level or rogue.

Many things take the negatives for the heavy armor. You lose your dex, take a -4 penalty to checks which fall under this catagory (mainly disable device and open lock), and you also lose you evasion and improved evasion feats. So a rogue with a 30 dex and a +10 modifier will take a total of -14 to such checks.

Actually this is completely untrue in either PnP or DDO.
For AC, You are limited to the max dex on the armor yes. FP is max dex 1, so anything over 12 DEX is wasted. Though ... FP is better than anything other than padded for total armor + max dex.
You will lose Evasion(and Improved @ level 10) in anything higher than light armor.
You skills are only decreased by the AC penalty of the armor, you do NOT lose you dex bonus on the skills. FP has a -5 skill penalty. As another poster said,
