Part of the back history with the elves of eberron (namely the Valenar and Aerenal elves) involves ancestor worshiping. And some of those ancestors are actually ... existing still as the Deathless.

While not encountered much, they are essentially the same thing as regular Undead

They receive near the same immunities.

Undying have a twist to them though. They were not animated by negative energy. They were created with positive energy necromancy.

Healing (positive energy) Spells do not harm them, it heals them.
Inflict spells harm them.

They are not subject to disruption

Spells made to counter and erradicate the typical undead (negative energy created) do not work on them

Something to stop the insta-kill madness.

There is no need to add Deathless to DDO.

Being good-aligned, a Deathless creature would scarcely ever fight against the player characters- and a monster you can't fill a dungeon with is a wasted monster.

The biggest use it would have is with a Create Deathless spell as a replacement for Create Undead. At least in that case they might not attack when the control expired. (But summon spells are nearly worthless in general, so we don't need more added)

Have you noticed that we play all the field? Good does not always fight evil alone. Good can fight with Good (ie "My god its better than your god, we help people better, die")

Yes, good creatures can occasionally fight each other. However, that's quite rare in this game- and even more rare is encountering a substantial number of Deathless anywhere outside Aerenal (which is very far from Xendrick)

At least it would give me a reason to use my Unholy Burst axe for once other then to slaughter Paladins in PvP or the Heretics quest in House P

I thought they were already in the game in that quest next to Tangleroot Gorge in House P...you know, the annoying one where if any of them are destroyed the quest fails...

There is no need to add Deathless to DDO.Except for use as the Venerated in Faithful Departed. I've seen it explained that the Venerated are not truly Deathless, but regular mummified dead that are negatively animated by the Scorrow priests. But, I don't buy it.

At any rate, it would be NICE for roleplaying immersion if those 4 creatures were correctly typed. But, to write code for 4 creatures in the entire game is asking a bit much.

For four creatures I agree.

But there are a few others as well. In Prison of the Planes, the Dolurrh room spawns the Undying Centurion (or what ever the name is) who should also be the Deathless unless they just liked the name

It would be interesting to actually see a bit more of eberron in an eberron campaign.

The biggest use it would have is with a Create Deathless spell as a replacement for Create Undead.Create Deathless isn't a spell you just cast, it is the transformation of an Aerenal Elf into a timeless creature. It is more Funeral than "I need backup."

That said, Create Undead should be permanent (until the quest ends or it is recast).

That and there should be an option to unsummon a monster and reduce the cooldown from whatever it is to like 30 seconds. This is because summoned things don't do ladders.
