I have noticed a distinct redux in level of loot in playing over the last couple of weeks. i still dont understand why we get masterwork of plain lvl 0 loot in the mid to higher level quests. (for example: the Necropolis quests) also i dont agree that the mana potions should be an end reward. finding them in the chests are better used and i would like to see more than one dropped in the inquest chests. it seems a waste of a end reward "slot" to have them in that grouping. also is there a better time table for the half orc/elf or the monk class? will i have to have 2k favor for this class or race? will lvl 16 cap be coming soon as well. can we pls have a better balance of creature levels and abilities to characters, it seems that the creatures are getting to be overly strong and powerful in comparison to the general character builds that are out there. i realize that there are the "super toons" but usually only see one or two of them in a party. a little more balance to the creature level and ability would be nice. i like the challanges but sometimes it seems a little overbalanced.

Just so you know, these are "decoy" chests, not real (= standard) chests, and the **** content in them is intended.

That's your point of view, personally I love getting a mana potion on my cleric so I don't have to pick a +4 sacred shield of lesser sonic resistance.

Yes, keep the potion rewards. I always pick a major potion over **** weapons and armor that would go straight to the vendor. Useful potion > useless weapon.

soo every chest in necro is a decoy? i have found this to be the case more than not in this quest especially.

i would rather have the choice of items over mana pots especially if more are dropped in the chests. especially when we cant purchase them like health pots.

I have noticed the same thing as Redhawk, chests all over (little, big black, big tan) have been giving ****.

I pulled 14 +1 items yesterday while doing the necropolis. Also pulled 5 +3 skill items.

I could've outfitted at least 4 level 1 warrior types with the stuff I was pulling.

Also something people tend to forget is that the Necro quests are not high level. Assuming we're talking about LotD2 tombs, they are L8. Since people only do it on elite for favor, it's a L10 quest, which means you can get ML6 weapons at best, just like in any L10 quest. Most of the time you'll get either a mix of ML4 / ML6 weapons (maybe even ML2 if unlucky on roll), which is perfectly normal.
The masterwork items should be only in the decoy chests though.

If you're talking about LotD1, it's even worse, they are L5 quests (I believe), which is L7 on elite, so usually ML2-ML4 weapons.

This is why I ignore loot. I find it much more enjoyable.

I would say I work onthe tens. In that 1 out of ten chests I will normally get something worth while.
Either that or I just sell the stuff and buy the wep I am looking for on the AH or through the vendors.
Point being ignore loot, its not the end all to be all.
