This week thread of the week is a double feature. We just could not choose one of these threads for the spotlight. They both exhibit the work of some of the most dedicated DDO fans in our community. You all continue to amaze us repeatedly.
In order of appearance:
Cahira (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=22271) and her new husband have been playing DDO since headstart. When they got married on June 9th, they had a very special cake made. Check it out here! (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=110505) Cahira, we're flattered! Your cake has been circulated throughout the office and they're dying to know how it tasted!
In other news, the ever dedicated Merlask (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=26855)has obviously worked tirelessly on a census-type report on the worlds of DDO, and guide to choosing a server. While we don't know if everyone on Adar are really jellyfish, or Xorians are Barracudas, she certainly amazed us with the depth of her research.
Check it out here. (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=110931)

Both are fine additions to TotW!
And I know the titles of Stormreach Chronicler and Advisor are from screenshot contests, etc. But, screenshots be damned! If Merlask's census isn't worthy of a title, I don't know what is. :)

The cake was quite tasty and I just happen to have some left in the freezer. :) I might be convinved to save it till GenCon and bring it by the Turbine booth if you're really interested. ;)

Agreed. I very much enjoyed that thread and it clearly took a great deal of effort.

I am sooooo glad the cake got a spot-light this week! I thought that was the neatest thing ever... one of our guildies started baking the actual game cookies, so seeing the cake just had me giddy :D I had to drag Endaria to the computer to show him right away lol. Granted, we're already married, and I wasn't playing DDO at that time, but I was like 'SEE look how cool that is! And you gave me flak for wanting a cake shaped like the city of Minas Tirith!!!'
Oh don't worry about titles guys, I'm just glad you're finding the study useful/entertaining. I mean, between the vids, the events, the ddocast segments, and the...uh...well just all of it...what title would they give me that would make sense anyway? Bard?
A note about the ... fishy references...
I prefer to look at the servers as a 'sea of people' so fish...sea... made sense to me, I dunno.
Additionally, the very first video I ever did for the community was an instructional guide to my Sharks & Minnows PVP game, which was the 2nd event I ever hosted. Hence, I had to roll with that theme as a tribute to the roots of what kicked off all this...wackiness.
besides, if I had listed you as 'kobolds' 'bugbears' 'beholders' 'oozes' well then you'd all be fighting over who got to be the mindflayers and dragons

Well, obviously Xoriat would be the mindflayers - since we eat your brain and they're in our room in PotP... :p
Both threads are awesome - and both deserve the double-billing. :) Congrats to the newlyweds and to Merlask. alike!!!

Nope.
Proud to be a kobold. :)
The most powerful race in all of Stormreach! :D
....uh.....
....well.....
Maybe I got carried away with that a bit. :o

How about "Stormreach Ambassador"

How about "Stormreach Ambassador"
Second that request. You are literally our ambassador on EVERY server now Mer (and somebody else to do those leg actions to besides +sir...err nevermind.)
Anyway, fish symbolism is fine, but I think after the way things turned out with how my main was labeled, he would be labeled a p...(sees Kolbolds with hoses, leaders with jackboots, and fundamentalists...YIPE fundies!).....pretty helpfull guy.
(Bows to his ambassador and awaits further news from the Golden Nights.)
PS, how are your teeth doing? As you can see, I'm recovering from my extraction pain, and it's not as smarting as it was before, but I guess it will take time until they grow in right.
