Been playing for a while and now considering going for my 1750 favor. I have two characters at level 13 and 14, both are around 1000 points of favor. So I need about 750. Any idea how long this may take? Any suggestions for shortcuts or ways to grind them out? I looked around the forum a bit and didn't really find anything. Thanks.

try to only do the quests on elite, if you or someone in your party has done a peticular quest on elite, log that character in and open on elite, then re-log the character who you are trying to gain favor with....

I just hit 1750 last night and i had some good help from p.u.g.'s who also needed the favor, I personally dont think I can do 1750 on another character, if it happens from just questing so be it, but thats just my opinion..

Giant hold quests on Elite has a ton of favor, i think they are all at least 21 on elite, some are 28
also the pit and tear of dakaan are good favor for their level

Thanks for the tips. Yeah I knew about trying to do quests on Elite. Sometimes my guildies will open up quests for others on Elite so they can just go right to that difficulty level. I didn't know the Gianthold quests were worth so much, will have to look into it. I may have to try the Pit again. I only ran it once at about 8th level and it was a disaster. lol I never tried it again. I didn't know if there was kind of a semi established favor grind out there that people do, like for XP when you're power-leveling a character. Risk vs reward vs time invested kind of thing.

I have gotten two characters to 1750. One by intent(my main) and one more or less by accident(my wizzie.)

They keys to getting 1750 quickly and as painlessly as possible are as follows IMHO

1) Know what you need
2) Do the quest chains. WW, STK, Tangleroot, Deleras, Greymoon-CO6, Threnal, Vons all have significant favor associated with them.
3) Be prepared to horsetrade. You help me with X and I will help you with Y works wonders.
4) Set up a time to run favor, post a list on the server forums and you will be suprised how many folks crawl out of the woodwork.
5) Talk to your friends/guildies that have gone over 1750. They will be able to open most quests on elite for you, and may have alts that need the quests.
6) When you get close(1650 or more) don't be afraid to let your friends know how close you are. You would be suprised how many offers of help you get.
7) Try to save the "fun" quests to the end of the favor run. Getting to 1750 can be a fair bit of a grind and being able to end it with quests that are popular can really make it easier.
8) Know what you need. Know how close you are. Look at the combinations of quests that will put you over the tops. If you have a plan 1750 is much easier.

Easiest way to get favor is on a sorceror. They blow things up well. Fireball works wonders in low level quests (run past the monsters, then fireball them once they get to a nice mass).

Easiest way to get favor if you're not a sorceror, get a good sorceror into your group. Nuke mages are good too.

Do the chain quests at level. So do tangleroot elite when you're level 7 or so, CO6 when you're level 8 or so, deleras at 6, WW at 4-6, stk at 4-6, etc. Trying this when you're level 14 is hard, unless you solo it, since most people finished them elite at the appropriate times for experience points.

Bribe someone to open the catacombs for you on elite. And bring a sorceror for that too.

Form the favor groups yourself.

Dont' try to run favor on +1 loot weekends.

Easiest way to get favor is on a sorceror.

Totally disagree. Cleric is the easiest way to get 1750.

Groups are always looking for clerics. You can post your own LFMs and have people show up. Many people will not join an LFM without a cleric.

If you are a cleric, why would you need a group? Just solo your way to 1750!

Pay close attention to everything Narizue said in their post.. Some good information there.

Here's my take on things...
I'm not a big fan of grinding through quests on elite at your level range... Yes, you get better exp... But you can run the same quest twice on normal, get more exp, and spend the same amount of time doing it.

I just got done running my second character through 1750(I've been slacking), and for him... I ran all of my quests through on whatever level the party wanted to get them done on while I was leveling, then came back in later on to run them on elite when they were trivialized by my level/gear.

Make sure you knock all of the lower level quests out when you have time... Almost any class should be able to solo them once you've leveled up a ways.

I'm always amazed when someone is trying to get a group together to run... Oh, say, the vampire on elite for favor, when they haven't finished the low road or the goodblade quests.

The gianthold gives out a healthy amount of favor, and with the +1 loot weekend coming up, you should be able to get into almost every quest in there on elite at one point or another.

Don't waste your time trying to run quests that are inherently painful on elite. You CAN run offering of blood on elite... But with the amount of quests in the game right now, you can skip all kinds of quests and still end up with a large amount of favor. (For example, although I have a couple of characters with 1750 favor, neither one of those characters have run the vampire on elite)(Although three of my other characters have, multiple times)

At level 14, with everyone trained in running the gianthold quests, get a group together for the desert. You'll be amazed how much easier those quests are now that people have more spell levels, and higher gear around. And, since that section was where a lot of people had capped their characters out, a large section of population will have them done on elite.(Since they had nothing better to do)

When setting up a group, put into your group requests if you need an opener for elite... I've joined plenty of groups just so they could open up the quest and put one person inside to hold it open, then left the group and went back to what I was doing.

Try to find other players that are trying to get 1750 as well... I was able to get 1750 on my latest character a good three weeks earlier then I'd expected, because one of my guildies was trying to get favor on his cleric.. So with just the two of us, we could clear almost any quest 9 and under by ourselves. Other people were welcome to join, but we already had the core elements of the group inside and running by the time they'd get to the quest.

Run quests FAST! There are a ton of quests (especially the lower level ones) where the "run through most of the dungeon, drop a crowd control spell, open the door, and run through the rest of the dungeon" technique works great.

Dont know what race/class you're dealing with, but I've found that some combinations are great for soloing quests.

It is faster to run quests with a group, but it may be a lot faster to solo stuff than to take all that time to find people who need the same quests..

I set my sights on 1750 favor after my wf wiz hit lvl 12. I kept an eye out for people running quests i needed, but ended up doing a lot of the quests on my own. If it were a quest I hadn't done on that character, I would put up an LFM: "soloing (quest), need elite opener".

Humperdink -

What class do you play? I've found that as a rogue I can usually sneak/hide through most of a quest, and kill only the required elements to complete. Takes a while sometimes, but you can do a lot of quests solo this way.

Hope that helps.

Do the relic, gh (just the outside quests 208 - 6 quests). Do the loot caves in thernal(36). Do the Thernal run elite (another 52 ish). The pit is good but I understand as I hate that quest myself. Another good one is Invaders for faction. Make sure all the lowbie stuff done. Do not be afraid to ask guildies especially if you have helped others. It tells you a lot about your guildies if they take your help but do not return when you need help.

Most GH quests can be done in 30-45 minutes if in a good group.

I was gone for a while and had most of the quests in the game (back when it ws level 10), completed on hard. I came back and started working on eveything that wasn't elite. I have now, finally, compeleted all the "old content" on elite. I am now working on the current content.

Try doing things only on elite, if you can help it. It makes grinding easier, imo.

The best way to earn lots of favor quickly is look at any quest chain that you haven't done on elite. They all have good favor for their level, and usually you can get a groups to do them at almost every level. It's like doing 5 - 6 quests at once.

GH is a great spot for favor, I have found the desert to be rather painful to try and get favor from. Even capped if you have a not so good PuG it's a long and painful night of playing.

Lot's of people are grinding for favor, so it won't be too hard to get into groups. Lower level stuff should be easy to solo to elite (harbor, market, some house quests) and should be done when you can't find a group.

Quests to aviod on elite are the defending type quests, or ones that have a chance at failure. You may also want to aviod the quests that have an over abundance of magic users. Both of those type quests should only be done in a group if you know that it's a pretty good group. Otherwise it will just result in xp debt and no favor cause you didn't complete it anyway.

a well made bard can easily do alot of favor on his own. Also, if you leveling up a toon, its easier to do it as you level. My level 9 bard has over 700 favor, because he has done all lvl 1 -5 quests on elite. Im hoping to hit 1750 before i cap.
