I think it should cost 1ap per 25points, the first 25 cost one ap, but the fourth 25 points cost me 4 ap. Even the way it is now, to spend all those AP points for 110 mana is not worth it. If they want to adjust this, please make it more like the feats where, level 1 gives you 5 points per level increase, level 2 gives you 10 points per level, and so on. Since it will cost you 10 AP, (2 and a half levels worth) to get level 4 make it worth it.

I like this idea. I mean if the enhancement trees stop at 4 ranks (like is suggested), then Id love to see this (as all my characters can always use more sps)

What exactly is the point of this?

Those classes already recieve enhancements to increase mana and depending on the race may recieve some as well.

Fighters, Barbarians and Paladin's need spend a feat to get the bonus from the enhancements.

Something like this will only throw things more out of line.

I agree with this line at least. If they're going to add more SPs they should be added to the base SPs for a class, since we still don't really have enough.

You kidding? Caster are over powered, I thought they were to powerful before all the new enhancements.. You people are crazy! Casters have ALWAYS been the most powerful class hands down.

well, that would put my sorc at 1931 sp
and when/if i *finally* get the black dragon robe ill be at 1981
ooohhh so close to 2k :)

and then i would actually have a good thing to spend my ap's on
as a CC caster, i would like this enhancment change

but in the end, it wouldnt make or break my build

Are we talking about the same game? In DDO, sorcerers and wizards are so gimped they are becoming impossible to play.

The point would be that it would give casters more mana if they took the Feat(s) Mental Toughness and Imp Mental Toughness. Just like the Fighters. See?

Then why should they get the extra mana from just being the class in the first place? See where I'm going here?

I play a cleric, don't get me wrong, I'd love more mana, the fact is though, even were these an option, I'd not take them. I have other things I'd rather have than more mana to heal a sponge.

Well I have to admit when compared to the mobs in the game especially when even enemy Rangers are healing themselves to full and you know they will never run out of mana it becomes a bit silly to think players ever can have enough spell points.

Not my fault you dont know how to play a caster, but no other char can affect the battle as much. Instant kill, CC, buffs - I dont see the "unplayable" part. Casters have always been gods, even before DDO made them super chars. To prove that, I havnt played one of my casters since the very first patch to DDO, never updated his gear or spells and still did amazing in POP elite -

Caster are BY FAR the most powerful class. Not even close to any other class. I would look at myself if I didnt think the same way. They are WAY to overpowered now.

Slightly off topic, but I'd be happy if they'd scale up my DV enhancements a bit to feed my casters. I have the best I can get, and the top feed is 32 sp per dv. ok...

We already have those enhancements, they're just called energy of the *. For those who think we dont have enough sp as it is are, imo, not playing cleverly enough.

Wait til you get to 14 and tell me your sorc is gimped. If you still feel the same way, you probably need to reroll or something. My sorc can power through alot of quests with just PK and FoD. If that fails, I go damage, which I can unleash in larger amounts then a melee can.

So youthik its a Good idea to spend 20 Action points on Spell Points?

Bleck..... No thanks....

The Only Way to put this is would be to Take OUT the Energy lines and Replace them whith this....

No.. I dont like that Either...

We get Spell point Enhancments wheneter we take Mental Toughness or not...... Perhaps the way to "Balance" this would be to allow Fighters to take ToughnesS Enhancments without taking the feat......

THisngs are out of balance. I Totally agree.. but THIS is not a Solution.

Count me in the silly idea camp.

We already have sp enhancments and casters are already very strong characters, and finaly the extra sp will not really help you all that much. I already don't buy the full SP lines, waste of AP at the higher ranks IMHO
