Any shot at getting a 12 man lower end group to do a quest? Put a level restriction on it if you wish, non-favor.
Just an idea ive heard floated a few times by people is all. Might be interesting. :)
Probably will never fly but worth seeing other opinions on the matter.

Yeah this has come up a few times...
Personally i like the idea.
It's been suggested that Irestone could be re-done to be a raid.
Generally the resoonse seems to be 50/50 onit, soem peopel want raids ot be high elvel only, some think it would be good practice for later raids, etc...

Kind of a cool idea.
But something I'd like to see first is another TS-like (ie, no prereq) raid for upper levels.
It would be nice for the non-power gamer guilds to have another raid choice.

id love it
thats one of the things i miss when i lvl up new characters
seems like i gotta wait forever to jump in a raid party
grouping with 11 other guildies in a low lvl quest, imo, would be awesome!!

A level 6 raid would be awesome. People could get a huge group and have fun raiding - without having to worry as much about 'doing things the exact correct way'.
No ogres or elementals, no puzzle rooms that take 15 min to work, just mid level action with harder than normal monsters. Elite kobold warriors, roaming dog packs, an Orc army gathering to do something evil etc.

I've made the suggestion before for low level raids.. I think it would be fun.
Possibly even one for 5-7. I know you can run TS at 7 on normal but still.

*thread necromancy* :D
Well it is a thread I started so figure I should see if anyone else is interested.

You do know that bumping a non-trade post is against the EULA (or whatever it is) right? Bannable offence and all.

Creating a new thread wouldnt have been a much better idea :).

I'm still interested :)
Of course there is another thread going on right now campaigning for 'only high level content'.. so clearly it'll be impossible to please everyone.

Saw that, found it amusing considering the new players will have to pound through alot of the content to get up to that level tier. Nevermind that little issue of getting passed those fun levels...you know level 6-7-8-9 :).
Depends how they wish to implement this. If it was simply an outdoor instance so be it. Just food for thought I suppose.
Changes could be made so the zone can incrementally get harder as different level parties enter? or maybe 4 - 5 variant zones could one day be added such that each entry may land you on a different map all together along with starting you at a different area within the zone

kobold assault i htink would be the easiest to convert - just triple the number of bad guys :)

Well, they could convert Irestone Inlet back to how it used to be...

/qft.
Bring back the Irestone Raid! Although the idea of stopping an orcish army does have some appeal as well - cool idea. :)

I'd be keen on the idea.

Hopefully after mod5 is out they might take some time to evaluate if this is even workable.
But a semi-randomized area, maybe 4 - 5 zones like i said could work.
Could be one of the following terrain types (ideally we'd have more but I doubt they have the development time for just one zone at the moment):
Forest
Plains
Foothills
Chaparrel
Tundra
Jungle
Maybe 1 or 2 or them with a few variant maps.
The variable positions would work if it was simply a randomly spawned zone just to give the experience a bit of variation.
If they want to tie a story in that wouldnt be a bad idea. But it shouldnt be the main driver of at least all of the zone.
Just seemed like a neat idea, though many people are of the pound through all content to raids mindset.
Thats why the incremental difficulty idea is tossed in. Maybe the monsters go up in difficulty rating, maybe theres more, maybe the types change, and maybe some other random thing can be injected.

heh. some people seem to think any quest can be a raid, just the other day someone invited my cleric into a party and it was a raid group.... i asked what quest we doing they said "Irestone Inlet" I laughed to myself and then said "Thats not a raid instance. we wont be able to get in." someone tried to get in and said they couldn't.
