SO we are in our second POP run of the night and one of the players says K doesnt need any resists except cold...
buffs get handed out...no cold for K

K says, "can I get a cold here?"

I say, "Sure...here you go!" and cast cold on him... with my bard....and start laughing.

He says, "Hey...That was only like 3 minutes....What am I supposed to do with 3 minutes?"

Of course I am rolling.

He checks his character sheet and points out that it only gave him 10 resist.

Then I have to explain that bards don't cast resist energy and that I gave him a clickie...

I fool people now and then when people ask for fire resistance on my barbarian. I found a 5 charge protection from fire belt and I usually just dole it out when the group does the entrance buffing. A few times people neglected to ask for resist fire in quests they could have used it and began screaming "What the heck was that crappy resist fire? I thought clerics were good at that!?". Deep down inside I grin because I framed the clerics with my silly little belt.
