I was in Von2 trying to get dragon ready. Up the ladder, kill the arcane oozes, ladder drops. I am the last one up the next ladder, not that I really needed to go, but I was still learning. Went to make the next jump to the short ladder before the second "air bridge". Now either I hit a bit of lag or miss keyed my jump or something, but I wound up stuck in the tree by the ladder and couldn't get out. So I ended up sitting there till the end.
Only I could get stuck in a tree in a virtual world.

well, all i've got to say is that i have never had an embarrassing moment... other than perhaps this...
so my main was a cleric - a real healbot type - i never looked at the quests, just watched the red bars, and aggro management, where are the monsters, etc. but i never really watched where the quests go, what are the maps like, etc
then i thought, "well, i see a lot of rogue/rangers lookin like they are havin fun... i think i'll roll one up!" so i did. and a pretty good one too if i do say so myself - spots well, searches well, disable, open look, all good. combat is nice - often use a bow, or 2 light weapons with decent effects... sneak attack is solid. just overall a good build - not uber, but really really solid.
so im running lowbie quests, and i say "there is a trap up here, fellas". i search, and no trapbox. i step forward a bit, search, no trapbox. i step forward a bit, search, no trap box. i step forward a bit, start to search, die.
there was no trapbox... id run this quest a dozen times at least with my cleric, and never realized that you have to throw levers or valves as someone later explained to me while they carried my stone back to the nearest shrine...
problem only exacerbated by the fact that i was kinda braggin my rogue up, i never blow a trap (i haven't ever critically failed a trap roll, to this day). my search skill is so good, i always spot em, blah blah blah... apparently i'm not as leet as i thought...

My main is a lvl 14 twf finesse ranger, so I thought for fun I'd roll up a str based dwarf ranger. At level four I was 1.5k short of an action point and after having just soloed STK on normal thought "I'll just run the first part on hard to get the xp". So I kill the first little kobald and then get to the door that hides the first big fight. I chug a bark and SoF potion, bless and bull's strength, look at my 31 AC and go "That's pretty nice for a TWF at level four," pop open the door and promplty roll a 1 against hold person. Whack, Slash, Dead.
Not very cool Mr. Shaman.
