At first, this may seem like a thread that belongs in general D&D discusion but it ties in with the game.
I have never seen a character sheet on Drizzt Do'Urden but I'm willing to bet he had weapon finesse. Drizzt's favorite weapon we know was the scimitar.
Question. How did that work and how can we impliment this in the DDO. I would dearly love the option to wield a scimitar with weapon finesse. Am I missing something and this is already the case or were Drizzt's weapons special (mithral perhaps?).
Let me just state that I have never played P&P. My only experience with D&D is through video games and some books. I'm looking for an education on this as I would like to see it in the game. Thanks:o

Drizzt Do'Urden (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr%2Ffx20010117d)'s stats, from WotC.
He doesn't have Weapon Finesse.
The only way you could use a Scimitar as a Finesse weapon is if, in DDO (as PnP doesn't have this) you find a scimitar with the Finesse enhancement, which I only think can be on actually finessable weapons (short swords, rapiers, daggers, etc.).

Remember that Drizzt, if I remember correctly, was rolled 20-30 years ago in 1st or 2nd edition and edited to fit 3.0 and 3.5 later. Back then, there wasn't a point buy system, not like we use in 3.5 anyways, so he likely got pretty lucky on his rolls.

Alas, how many times has this been mentioned before?
Drizzt will kiss the floor, over and over again, in DDO.:(
Even in PnP, he was a joke in the 2nd edition build, and he just get a little better with 3.0-3.5 amendment. He does not have weapon finesse, and his chosen enemy is goblin.
However, remember, fiction and game are 2 issues. Fiction, table top game and online game are 3 issues. Usually, fictional characters are more dramatic than the other 2.
You haven't killed Drizzt in Baldur's Gate before, do you?:p

True that. I liked the 1st edition build in FR7; Hall of Heroes. Granted, he was only 10th lvl, but that was easily adjustible by the DM ( I went with 16th:D ). The main thing though was, in order to bring his swordsmanship in-line with the books, they gave him a critical hit special ability. Basicly, anytime his to-hit roll was 5 over what he needed to hit an opponet, he did 2x damage + had a 10%, plus or minus 3% per lvl/hit die difference between him and his opponet, of killing the foe instantly :D

Drizzt Do'Urden (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr%2Ffx20010117d)'s stats, from WotC.
Those are 3.0 stats, but I think they're the most current.

Those are 3.0 stats, but I think they're the most current.Couldn't find any official 3.5 stats (I never claimed they were 3.5 either). The only stuff you can find are two sets of 3.0 stats and a Miniatures card for him.
Of course, porting from 3.0 to 3.5 might not be nearly as hard as from 2nd Edition to 3.5.
But regardless, the OP's question was answered. Drizzt isn't finessing his scimitars.

Actually if you take the Dervish PrC, level one lets you use scimmys as light weapons (finessable)
In pnp, dervish prc makes scimitars able to be finessed. Course thats no help here...
